Key Largo Kampground & Marina

We booked a small travel trailer air bnb here for the week. We had a private dock on the canal. If we had kayaks or a boat you have direct access to the state park nearby and the Atlantic from either your dock or the marina. Bath house were clean. Quiet at night. The campground is a mix of full time residents, snowbirds, renters in campers, RVs and a few tents. There is a heated pool, laundry, lots of games and two small sandy beaches. Easy stay while exploring the keys.

I stayed in the deluxe tent spot which is surrounded on three sides by the mangrove forest. Shaded spot with electrical outlet, stays cool in the morning. Like other RV parks space is tight, but this spot (T22) feels spacious. Other tent sites appear smaller but there are many. Short walk to beach, pool, bathhouse. Ice, water, laundry on site. The staff and people are friendly. Good location easy access to keys or Miami area.

Super place with nice heated pool. A bit expencive but well Worth it

This is our second time staying at this campground. Staff is friendly. Place is clean. Has two beaches which is a lot. The keys aren’t known for sandy beaches but key largo kampground has two small sandy beaches that make u feel secluded from the world.

It was tight getting our 32ft pull behind back to our spot, but folks all came out to offer tips and help us get around. So we actually got parked in fairly short order.

The dog walk area near our site was pretty small and it’s bookended by tent camp sites. My dogs were more interested in the goings on than doing their business and we couldn’t really walk them away from it.

That being said. The location is great! As I mentioned in the title. It’s cozy and friendly and pretty quiet.

The marina is nice. And the beaches were great launch points for kayaks.

I would, and probably will, stay here again.

So first ...the lits are privately owned. There is an HOA. Owner of site has authority over site not the staff. So if the staff makes an error with dates of your visit and the owners show up to stay at their site....you will need to pack up. Happened to us. The area is mostly fulltime/permanent traders that have been converted into a trailer house. Laundry room is not air conditioned. The "store/gift shop" is more of a check in and mail/package pick up. Dog friendly but not alot of grassy areas for dogs to play and do there business. 90% of area is like sand seashell material. There is a very small beach area...no dogs allowed. Kids playground is nice. Pool was opened...I did not go into pool area. We took our 2 digs down to Marathon FL to a dog park. Very nice and quiet with nice walking trail. I would not recommend this camp site.

It was nice and quiet at night. It had sinks around camp for dishes etc. a small beach to launch your boat or paddle board to tour the mangroves. It has socks for big boats. It’s more permanent RV/homes with a couple rows for nightly rentals. The bathrooms were a bit of a walk from tent sites.

Set up the tent next to the car and the groups on the right and left of me were directly in site as there aren’t any thick trees.

This cost $85 a night and really old picnic tables, right next to your neighbors, old showers, wasn’t given the wifi password, but smack dab in Key Largo. The RV sites are awesome, but that’s not me, lol. I got a site as a walk-in same night. Also everything is relative, if you’ve been using vault toilets it’s amazing to have a flush toilet, but these are a bit rough for $85.

Great location closes to Miami, clean sites, amenities are great , the pool was clean. Our tent site T31 was facing the Marina and it was great. Electric and water included. Boat ramps for rent, kayak and fishing

Tent sites are primative ( no water or power) but you have everything you need close by...even a 25/7 ice machine! Great pool, views are amazing. Lots of campers brought their boats here. Site was sandy but larger than expected. Great jumping off point for diving, kayaking or swimming with dolphins ( which is what we did).

We came from Maryland, excellent campground. Docking at your site for waterfront spots is an awesome perk. Two small beachy areas, though wouldn't suggest swimming there. Great pool, mix of residents and campers. Boat ramp, volleyball, friendly people. Next door is John Pennekamp Coral Reef state park. Awesome park, 2 beaches, snorkeling, boat ramps, trails, they have it all.

This was our first family camping trip with our new pop up camper. 

Staff was delightful and very helpful. Especially being first timers with a 10yr old and a 2 yr old. All site have picnic tables and grill.

Everyone super friendly even thenresidents made us feel very welcomed.

Super secure. Noise is expected. Cars Driving is expected. People walking around is expected.

Public bathrooms super clean. Pool was great and kiddie pool too.

Playground.

Beach was ok for fishing. Kayaking boating etc. 

Super easy to book online secure.

Great price.

I did shop around and its ridiculous to pay over 300$ to camp. This place is amazing!!!! 

We have a place to call 2nd home

Not so much camping as much as a place you can pay to pitch a tent for a night if you need to in a pinch. Basically staying in an RV park near the water.

Very clean pool and campgrounds. The staff was very friendly. Small beach access. I had a nice quiet tent site in a shady mangrove cutout. Very cozy.I would definitely recommend this campsite and will come back.

We loved this spot on Key Largo. Further off the main road than some, you can forget how convenient the access is to the rest of Key Largo. Everything is in great condition—spots are nicely graveled, docks are new, pool is in great shape. Well absolutely be back here again!

We stayed here in March 2019 with a trailer. It was a very relaxing place with a site close to the water. Lots of good restaurants within a short bike trip. Also a grocery store close by. The staff was very friendly. I was a bit surprised how much I liked key largo and this campground. It’s a relaxing area but with plenty to do

There is a mixture of perminent residents and people renting a site as they pass through. The tents are off to the edge of the property and are well shaded. The sites are level and graveled. There is water and electric at every site.

There are 2 bathhouses for the campground. They have made an effort to have them centrally located but it can be a bit of a walk.

There is a pool which is in good shape and had a nice deck around it. It would be nice to have more shade but it was pleasant none the less. There were shuffleboard courts and tennis courts. WiFi was available in the lounge area.

There is a campground association that does bingo and runs meet and greet gatherings regularly (schedule is posted as well as announced over public address system.

All areas were clean and maintained nicely. There is security 24hrs. and the gate locks at 11p. If you will be out later a key is available for a $20 refundable deposit.

It is 1 mile from Pennycamp which is a great location.

Nice campground all the way around, great staff, nice clean restrooms and showers, beautiful beach within the campground itself, nice pool, secure and if I left anything out I didn't mean to. Loved this campground all the way around! They let me bring my portable hot tub if I paid for the water and they didn't charge us enough in my opinion! We were able to rent kayaks from local rental for 24 hrs. and they delivered and picked up at the campground!! Close to everything!

Have stayed twice, not many places that allow tent camping and this had a few sites for tents and clean facilities.
