Close to Glenwood Springs and Hanging Lake
General: A mix of pull-thru RV sites, back-in van sites, and walk-in tent sites. We called about two weeks prior and were happy to secure a site on a Saturday at the very end of April. This campground is located right on I70 so you will definitely hear highway noise (and occasional train noise). The sites are stacked on a hillside and as would be expected in an RV park, there is little separation/privacy between sites. The road in is a bit rough but so were many of the area roads after a harsh winter.
Site Quality: Sites are gravel. Site 55 was just long enough for our 18-foot van to fit. Not all of the van sites had picnic tables, but our site had a table where we could set up our camp stove and we ate inside our van. It also looked like there was a gas grill that might be shared for the van sites, but we didn’t inquire about it/use it. We had a fire pit but didn’t use it. Fires are NOT permitted in the RV sites and although there was a sign indicating a fire ban, you could speak with the office to see if fires are currently permitted in designated campfire pits.
Bath/Shower house: Was very clean and nicely appointed. Did not use the shower.
We chose this campground knowing we would hear highway noise, but it was a convenient location for our hike to Hanging Lake the next day. Craig was very welcoming both on the phone and upon our arrival.

Old campground
The road leading into the campground is steep and very rough. The attendata was very friendly. Pull through site was nice, but some sites would be tricky to back into with a mid to large RV. Couldn't find a garbage dumpster so hauled the trash out with us. It served it purpose, but was pricing for what was there in my opinion.
Great, friendly stopover
Super friendly hosts and no problem finding a spot without reservation. Really close to the I-70 but still nice and quiet for the night. Also nice facilities and good wifi
Very rude staff!
Craig, unfortunately is an impatient rude A$$H0LE. Because of him, my family and I will never stay at Ami's Acres. I had a few simple questions. I didn't understand his answers, and instead of explaining, he yelled at me and hung up!
Great views
Happy to have found this gem. Hot showers, community gas grill, restrooms, available. Not to mention great views

Funky but nice
Lots of wonderful trees. Site 25 had a decent view. Not sure there is wifi, there are networks that maybe campsite wifi, but signals are weak. T-mobile signal is poor with 13 mbs downloads and 3 mbs uploads. Actually considering the location I'm surprised it is that good.
Wonderful!
Such a cute little campground! Craig at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. So much character at this place. It’s not a brand new, shiny KOA, but it’s clean and full of love. The paintings on the bathroom doors were adorable!! This place reminded me of my grandparents home…
In the rocky mountain's
It was very beautiful the view was amazing the bathrooms where nice and clean I would TOTALY camp here again
Nestled in the Rocky Mountains
This is a very beautiful campsite nestled in the Rocky Mountains. The staff is very friendly and bathrooms/showers kept clean. Would definitely camp here again.
Lovely Campground; Water Tastes Awful
The sites are very interesting on a fairly steep hillside. The showers are fine. Plenty of trees for some shade. Bring your own drinking water. We filled our water bottles at the park.
Amazing Views and Great Service
I booked this campsite the day of and when I called to make a reservation and the service was very memorable. when we got to the campsite it was filled with many cute designs and decor. The bathrooms are the nicest bathrooms at any camps that I stayed at. The showers had tile floors and cute paintings on the walls and stalls. Our campsite had a beautiful, unobstructed view of the foothills. It is close to the highway but far up the hill. We couldn’t see any of the cars driving but could hear them a little bit. Would definitely stay here again!

Cute and unique
You can tell lots of work has gone into this campground. There are unique touches at each site. Bathrooms are very clean.
Beautiful
This is one of the best tent campgrounds I’ve ever stayed at. The bathrooms were amazing with cute paintings of wildlife on the doors. Chipmunks were everywhere playing in the sun and entertaining for hours. The man at the front was extremely helpful in telling us where to spend our days, where the best hikes are and such. I would love to come back again.
Good spot for a night.
Very scenic. Sites were close together. Atleast half were permanent residents and some were not the cleanest. Staff seemed a little rude at times.
Second impressions the best
Upon first entering the park, we missed the sign and the roads seemed a little rough. However, staff are incredibly helpful and let us check in earlier than we had planned on. They were also very knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. Bathrooms are very clean and the rv park itself has some wonderful views.
Showers and flushable toilets
I loved the camping space, the host, the showers, and the flushable toilets. I recommend bringing earplugs since the highway runs through glenwood springs.
it's a place to park
Needed a place to park near our daughters small townhome. This worked. Had electrical hookup which was nice as it was cold in the morning so we could run small heater in our van. The freeway noise is an issue if you are a light sleeper like me. Fortunately it rained which helped block the noise. We literally arrived late and left early. Husband used the showers and gave them pretty poor rating. It would appear that at least half of the sites are taken by people living there.
Great little off the highway camping spot!
Ami’s acres was a great little overnight camping spot. Amenities were plentiful. Host was very friendly. Looked like people may have also lived at this campground in addition to travelers/campers. Being next to the interstate didn’t end up being a problem, still very quiet. Very close to glenwood springs, which is a definite must do if you’re looking for some relaxation and views.
Convenient & clean
We needed a hot shower and some comfort and found both here. It’s a bit pricey but has all the hookups which we don’t need. We had wifi but a weak signal and not secure. Bath house was clean and pleasant. It’s on a hillside above the river and highway. Sheltered from wind and extreme heat.
Good over night stay while traveling west
Super friendly staff at a park built on the side of a hill. Our site was long but narrow meaning the only place to be outside was in front of the rig.
Noise is an issue from I70 which is constant even with windows shut. No WiFi but strong Verizon
That all said would return for a in-transit stop.
Super Friendly and Clean
The office manager was extremely helpful and friendly. He drove by 2 times to make sure we had everything we needed while tent camping. The bathrooms were very clean and the water nice and hot. They also have a kitchen area with microwave, filtered water and a sink for dishes, which was really convenient.

Very friendly staff, great showers and bathrooms.
Very friendly staff, great showers and bathrooms, plenty of room at our site with a few tables and wood stools. The included showers with hot water and good pressure was amazing after our 4 day backpacking trip on the Maroon Bells. (No quarter showers here!) The owners spend a lot of time making sure all the right details are in place to make it feel like a CO campground. I would give 5 stars except, you can hear the highway. Everything is great.
Great place
I’ll start with a little pricey, but it is a real nice place. Nice views, has private tent areas, clean and friendly. Definitely recommend!
Cute stop in off i70
Ami’s acres was a sight for sore eyes after sitting on the i70 for hours waiting for an accident to be cleared. Coming in at night is DARK but the host was friendly and welcoming even after midnight. The bathrooms were up a bit of a hill where we were situated at the top of the campground but super clean and warm. Hot Showers too! There was a larger group cooking area and a table. We didn’t have individual fire rings or tables at our site but others had them. Really cozy little campground, lots and lots of birds in the morning which our daughters enjoyed immensely. Overall for just stoping in for the night it was just what we needed. Don’t let the dark drive way scare you off, it was really a wonderful camp!
