Last Chance Camp operates as a private campground on open pasture land just outside Cheyenne, with rates ranging from $19-$24 per night. The property accommodates RVs up to 75 feet and offers both drive-in and walk-in access, though campers should expect rough road conditions when approaching the site.
The campground functions as dispersed camping across an open field, where visitors can park at any available picnic table and face their preferred direction. Campers can choose their own spots throughout the spacious property, with portable toilets, outdoor showers, and a community kitchen providing basic amenities. The hosts maintain an active ranch operation on-site, complete with beehives and ranch animals that some visitors encounter during their stay.
Communication with the property owners receives consistent praise from guests, who report prompt email confirmations and clear arrival instructions. Jolie H. appreciated the straightforward check-in process, noting the host's instruction to "find an empty space with a picnic table and I'm good to go." The campground's location provides easy access to Cheyenne's restaurants and services, while the ranch dog often visits campers during morning hours.
Reservations are available through the property, and same-day bookings are often possible. Cell phone reception works adequately for most carriers, making this a practical overnight stop for travelers passing through Wyoming.
