The bunkhouse accommodations at Kodachrome Basin State Park provide indoor lodging within Utah's distinctive red rock landscape. These drive-in units cost $95 per night and include full RV hookups with electric, water, and sewer connections, plus access to drinking water, showers, and a dump station.
Located near Cannonville, the facility allows campfires and welcomes pets. Hiking and biking trails extend throughout the park's terrain. The Basin Campground sits nearby for traditional camping options. Reservations are available for these bunkhouse units, which work well for groups wanting shelter while exploring the park's geological formations.
Description
Sixty-seven monolithic stone spires called sedimentary pipes accentuate multi-hued sandstone layers revealing 180 million years of geologic time. The color and beauty found here prompted a 1948 National Geographic Society expedition to name the area Kodachrome after the popular color film. Kodachrome Basin, as its name implies, is a spectacle of massive sandstone chimneys changing in color with the day's mood.
