Fishing and pond access draw campers to this dispersed site within White Mountain National Forest, where Elbow Pond provides both scenery and angling opportunities. The US Forest Service manages this free camping area on a first-come, first-serve basis, with sites accessible by both drive-in and walk-in options. Some sites include fire pits while others do not.
The access road presents challenges for lower-clearance vehicles, with reviewers noting rough conditions that make sedans inadvisable. Site spacing varies considerably, with some spots positioned close together and others offering more separation. Campers can find places to camp around North Woodstock for additional options in the region.
