Within White Mountain National Forest, this dispersed camping area occupies eight sites along Little Larry Road, a dead-end dirt route that climbs uphill through heavily wooded terrain. The US Forest Service manages these drive-in sites, which accommodate RVs up to 30 feet and allow campfires, pets, and alcohol.
Sites spread far apart along the road, creating natural separation between campers. The uppermost site features direct stream access where Little Larry Brook flows through, while lower sites remain set back from the water. All sites include fire pits but lack other amenities like tables or restrooms. Rhonda H. notes "the sites are a great size and are surrounded by trees." Cell service reaches sites 4 and 5, though coverage remains limited throughout most of the area.
The location provides access to hiking trails, with a trailhead at the road's end and the Highwater Trail with bridge nearby. Campers use the creek for filtered water collection and washing. Bear activity occurs frequently around the two uppermost sites, particularly on game trails. Swimming, kayaking, and fishing opportunities exist along the main river, accessible by driving back to the primary road.
For those wanting developed amenities, Hastings Campground sits less than half a mile northwest.
