County-managed South Dutch Charlie Creek sits on open terrain alongside a small creek in Westbrook, with rough access roads leading to discrete campsites that offer little privacy from one another. Each site includes picnic tables and fire rings of varying sizes, plus water pumps at several locations and clean pit toilets housed in a central building. The campground operates from May through October at $20 per night, accepting pets and providing electric hookups for RVs.
Trees space close enough for hammock setup, and a wooden bridge leads to a back area with creek-side walking paths. A large group picnic shelter and small playground serve families, while the nearest grocery and liquor stores require a fifteen-minute drive. Campers exploring the region can find campgrounds around Currie for additional options.

South Dutch Charley offers a variety of landscapes within 24 acres - the entrance leads to flat grounds that turn into slight slopes at three percent to intense slopes at fifty-three percent. The creek enters the park area from the west and meanders almost three thousand feet through the southwestern and northern portions of the park. This aesthetically pleasing park hosts an important historical presence because it was the home of Charley Zierke, also known as Dutch Charley. Zierke was the first settler of Cottonwood County.
