    Outdoor Adventures Lake Shore Resort

Lakeshore Resort is exactly as it says resort so if you are looking for more camping then glamping may not be the best place to go I prefer the Standish location Saginaw Bay

They used to have wooded walking trails fenced off now. Their Laundry machines don't work we lost $ 25 dollars to their Laundry machines and they don't fix them they are out sourced and their game rooms just as bad you want to play games and can't it's takes your money and you can't do anything again outsourced and they do nothing spent $ 20 trying to let me kids play games that didn't work otherwise when we went quiet cozy campground

    Algonac State Park Campground

Nice park, but people drive too fast

There's a gun range here that you'll hear during the day. It's not too bad.

Mixture of electric only sites, with a small amount of FHU sites. Some sites are crowded together, so be aware. On the FHU sites, some hookups are stupidly far from your pad. Better have a 50' fresh water hose, and 20'+ for sewer. I'm not kidding. At other FHU sites, you'll almost have to crawl under your slide out to get at the sewer hookup. They did a stupid job laying out some of this. Still though, it's a decent place, not much for the kids, but ours have fun there running around.

Just watch out for those that don't respect the speed limit... there's a lot of those here, and rangers don't seem to care.

McGinnis Lake Modern Campground — Holly Recreation Area

    Great place to camp

This was the first campground my daughter has ever been to. She had a blast and our campsite was nice. The only downside is that we had no close restrooms. I wish there was more available. Other than that it was a lot of fun. At night we did get a visit from a view critters and my daughter thought it was the coolest thing ever.

    Pontiac Lake Recreation Area

    Great Spot!

Because it’s a state park, they have fresh drinking water, would for bonfires in private spots. This is one of the best areas for hiking and biking and kayaking and swimming.

    KOA Campground Emmett

    Bed bugs in cabins

Avoid this KOA at all costs– bed bugs and dishonest management. Our stay at the Emmett KOA was a nightmare. The cabin we rented was infested with bed bugs. When we brought it up, the owner flat-out lied and told us they hadn’t had bed bugs in“over 13 years.” That was absolutely false. There are multiple reviews on here already citing bed bug issues, and staff members themselves admitted to us that it has been an ongoing problem. Even the pest control company they claimed to use confirmed they’ve been battling bed bugs here. Instead of taking responsibility, management hid behind their ridiculous 14-day cancellation policy and refused to refund our second night(which we didn’t stay for obvious reasons). Their“solution” was insulting: a 20% discount for a future stay(as if anyone would want to come back!) and a handful of quarters so we could attempt to kill the bugs in our belongings using their dryer. The dishonesty from Toni and her father is appalling. Any business that knowingly lies to its customers about a health and cleanliness issue this serious has no integrity. Bed bugs are not a minor inconvenience– they spread, they infest, and they follow you home. We left disgusted and disappointed, and I strongly recommend avoiding this campground if you value your health, honesty, or basic respect as a paying customer.

Dancing Fire Glamping and RV Resort

Suited for RVs - Very Kind Host

Right off the highway. Clean. $69/night for a pad with power. We have a pop up tent and a utility trailer. Nice pool. Showers and sitewide wifi. Would have rated a 5 but the price seems high for a tent.
