Peak RV Resort

RV travelers seeking full-hookup convenience in Colorado Springs will find Peak RV Resort operates as a functional staging area rather than a traditional camping destination. This private facility provides level gravel sites with electric, water, and sewer connections, plus heated water spigots for winter stays. The property features paved internal roads and gated entry requiring a keypad code or fob for access.

Sites sit close together in what reviewers describe as a parking lot configuration, though Georg U. notes they are "adequately spaced and are neat and clean." The facility accommodates both short-term visitors and long-term residents, with some sites showing more wear than others. Two designated dog runs serve pet owners, and the property maintains a strict no-smoking policy throughout. Wood fires are not permitted, and sites lack traditional amenities like picnic tables or fire rings.

The resort requires extensive paperwork upon check-in, including driver's license copying and signing six pages of rules focused primarily on long-term guests. Additional fees apply for package acceptance, ranging from $1.50 to $5 depending on size. Travelers can find campgrounds near Colorado Springs for more traditional outdoor experiences. Peak RV Resort works best for visitors prioritizing convenience and full hookups over recreational camping atmosphere.

Peak RV Resort functions well for short-term stays with excellent amenities and full hookups, though guests commonly noted close site spacing and high costs with additional fees.

Mixed opinion

This is not a camping vacation destination. It is a good place to stay if you’re visiting family or temporarily working in the Colorado Springs area. It is a parking lot with full hookups (heated water spigots). A lot of rules about not keeping a trashy site but there are trashy sites. Gated entry and exit (fob or keypad to enter). Two dog runs. NO SMOKING on the property. Sites are close together. We stayed 40 days visiting family so all the negatives were not a big deal with us as we only slept here.

Way overpriced

The RVs are very close together. They have direct Tv but I guess you have to have a satellite to get it because it doesn’t come through the cable. It was completely full being packed in like sardines it’s fairly new.

Will not visit again

Total charge was $101/night with fees. $7 reservation fee (I called in) and $6.40 credit card fee.

Feel free to think I'm paranoid but I absolutely did NOT like that we were required to allow them to copy our driver's license. In 12 years of RV'ing I've never seen this. The desk promised to shred the ID copy after we left or return it to us (when we left the clerk was confused about giving it back).

SIX pages! of legalese rules you have to sign that are obviously not being enforced anyway and appear to be focused on long term guests.

If there had been other options for a last minute stay I would have left, but they probably would have kept my money. Cancelations <72 hours before is NO REFUND.

Sites are adequately spaced and are neat and clean. Some small trees (fairly new park). Very nice paved roads and gravel sites but really just a parking lot. Some long term guests.

No picnic table or fire ring (wood fires not allowed in any case).

As with most "RV Resorts" describing it thusly is an exaggeration.

Gate code required for entry, difficult to see screen in sunlight.

Fees charged to accept packages.$1.50-$5 depending on size.

Two dogs under 25 pounds each are allowed.

Decent Place

Nice RV park but not much to it. They have some picnic areas and a few other things.
