This spot was a success, there are many spots along the creek to camp and at the main area with the porta potties there are more camping spots if you follow the creek which are close. There were many established fire pits as well. We camped right by the creek and it was peaceful to sleep next to the white noise of it. No issue setting up a tent but make sure to bring layers for night time if you go early May. 

Make sure to try out the drive up the mountain, it was breathtaking and kept going up. Make sure your vehicle can handle it, not too bumpy but it was all dirt and gravel with no side railing. We went up with an SUV all wheel and had no issue. The view along the drive is really worth seeing, I couldn't believe it. We passed a herd of goats and the dogs that were in charge of them, and a cowboy on a horse!!! At the top, you can walk out for a stunning and surreal view.
