COE Dardanelle Lake Old Post Road Campground

Managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers, this year-round campground sits adjacent to Dardanelle Lake with both drive-in and boat-in access. Each of the sites includes dual parking spaces—one for RVs up to 40 feet and another for boats or extra vehicles. Most sites feature electric and water hookups along with individual pavilions.

Old Post=Great Family Fun

Lots of shade in the park. This particular site didn’t have much shade. Plenty of hiking and mountain biking trails. Sand volleyball courts. Level sites. Easy back-ins. Beautiful view of the Arkansas River.

Trailer sites next to large day use area

Trailer hookup sites next to C of E boat ramp, adjacent to numerous covered picnic sites and 3 playgrounds. 2 large pavilions for rent. Just below Dardanelle Lock and Dam in Russellville city limits. Adjacent to city soccer complex.

Old Post Road - Double parking for your boat and camper

I think the best part about Old Post Road campground is the way they have set up the campsites. Each site has two parking spots, one for your Camper or RV and another for a boat or an extra vehicle. With easy access to the lake this is a nice convenience if you like to boat and camp for several days.

The campground is maintained by the Corps of Engineers and is in very good shape. Each campsite has its own little pavilion and most have electricity and water hookups.

This is a great place if you want to hang out on the lake.
