Creek access draws anglers and paddlers to Bard Springs Campground, though the US Forest Service facility remains temporarily closed following tornado damage. The campground previously operated from mid-March through mid-November within Ouachita National Forest, offering both drive-in and walk-in sites near the water.
Recent visitors report significant storm damage that has left the area requiring cleanup and repairs. Gates currently block access to the camping areas. The Forest Service allows pets and campfires when operational, and campers exploring the broader region can find pet-friendly camping near Ouachita National Forest. Check with forest officials for reopening updates before planning a visit.
