Accessible via paved roads just off the main route into Flagstaff, this KOA accommodates RVs up to 45 feet with full hookups and costs $100 per night. The campground operates year-round and accepts reservations, making it a reliable option for campers needing guaranteed availability. Staff provides trail maps and information about hiking and biking routes accessible directly from the property.
Sites sit among ponderosa pines at elevation, creating a forested setting that reviewers consistently note. "This KOA feels more like a National Forest Service site but with the added perks of electric hook-up and hot showers," observes Kim G.. The layout places sites relatively close together, which some campers find tight but others appreciate for the social atmosphere it creates among families with children.
The facility includes clean restrooms with hot showers, laundry machines that accept credit cards at $3 for wash and $2 for dry, and a camp store. Children gravitate toward the jumping pillow and playground equipment, while adults access hiking trails that connect to the surrounding forest system. A fenced dog area accommodates pets, and the campground maintains a propane filling station.
Road noise from the nearby highway reaches some sites, and several reviewers mention hearing dogs barking from adjacent areas. WiFi service proves unreliable for work or video calls, according to multiple campers. Sites require leveling blocks due to uneven terrain, and the narrow entry road demands careful navigation for larger RVs.
For additional camping options in the area, campers can explore campgrounds around Flagstaff. Book ahead during peak seasons, as this location serves as a popular base for Grand Canyon day trips.
