Copper Basin Campsites

Within Prescott National Forest, Copper Basin Campsites provides dispersed camping accessible by both driving and walking to individual sites. The US Forest Service manages this area, allowing campfires, pets, and alcohol consumption while maintaining cell service coverage.

Reviews indicate mixed experiences with road conditions and site quality. Some campers report heavy traffic and noise from off-road vehicles on the access road, particularly during evening hours. The generously sized sites feature level ground, though debris including glass and metal has been noted at certain locations. Campers found spacious sites in a natural setting with nearby trails. Road noise from recreational vehicles was a significant concern for some, with activity continuing late into the night.

I think this is where I am...

I'm still new to this and I only have Quartzsite and Yuma as reference points, but Prescott isn't nearly as user friendly. One of the places I went to didn't exist. This place does not the thing that says 7 is hidden. I only saw it when i was about to pull away to find a hotel room. Lots of traffic on that road, but I'm too tired and hungry to care. It's a big enough spot, though, and its pretty level. I only think i might not be here because I'm in 7 and did not need clearance.

Loud & covered in glas

This could have been the most beautiful site. The stars were amazing and the sites are generously large BUT the dirt road the site are off of is some kind of rodeo for fast four wheeling with loud music and louder engines. All night complete with a scream at 2am. The site we stayed at had about a box of rusty nails and enough glass someone must have been throwing bottles just to break them all. Not great for my tent bottom.
