Scenic Drive RV Park and Campground

Gravel sites spread across a large, level lot define this roadside RV park just off Interstate 20. Scenic Drive RV Park functions primarily as an overnight stop for travelers, with full hookups accommodating rigs up to 80 feet and ample maneuvering space that eliminates the need to unhook tow vehicles.

The bathhouse maintains clean facilities with hot showers, while the grounded gravel surface prevents muddy conditions even during heavy rain. Campers consistently note the proximity to the highway, which brings both convenient access and road noise. The open layout offers little shade or privacy between sites, creating more of a parking lot atmosphere than a traditional campground setting.

"Perfect for a quick stop," reports Cathy M., reflecting the park's primary function as a practical waypoint. The property sits within driving distance of Talladega National Forest for those seeking hiking opportunities, though no attractions are within walking distance. Other RV options include Country Court RV Park and CWGS Campground of Oxford nearby.

Reservations are available and recommended for weekend travel, as the straightforward layout and reliable amenities make this a popular choice for one-night stays along the I-20 corridor.

Multiple campers commented on the large level sites and clean facilities as key strengths. The friendly staff received consistent praise. Most found it ideal for overnight stops, though several noted the basic parking lot setup lacks scenic appeal.

Awesome owner

We had a long drive day. Needed something for the night. He was so nice and gave good directions. Perfect for a quick stop. We were able to park where we wanted. Full hookup.

Great value

Owner is very friendly and nice guy. Bathhouse was very clean and well maintained. Camping spots are well pounded gravel so that no mess even hard rain. This place is perfect for stopping by for one night.

A good stop

It's called Scenic drive which is miss leading. It's a giant gravel parking lot converted into RV. Easy to get into, an amateur tower can get in and out. Yet, nothing to see. You have to drive at least 20 mins to get to a state park to do any hobbies. A great place if you need quiet time.

Good overnight stay

We needed just a one night stay and this was a good stop. We are 43ft with tow vehicle and didn't have to unhook. Sites are large. Easy to get in. Nothing fancy. Close to stuff to do. Friendly staff.

A place to stop

Ferry near I-20. Basically a big gravel parking lot with hookups. Bathrooms were clean people were nice. A decent place to stop for a night sleep but not to hang out for very long.

Clean convenient and charmless

If you need a place to stay for the night, Scenic Drive RV Park is a good option. That said, this is not a quaint or charming camping experience.

It is a large parking lot with level sites, all hook-ups, clean bathrooms, hot showers and a pleasant host. There are no attractions you can walk to. There is no place to go without a car. You are perched close to the highway. The host, Max, is quite pleasant and takes good care of the property.

RV Site

Open space RV site with places to park and hookup and an office where you can check in and pay for your site. They have a range of sites and a nice atmosphere. Much better option than those down the road. It is also very close to the Talladega National Forest and lots of great hiking so worth checking out if you are driving through the area with an RV.
