COE Coffeeville Lake Service Campground

The sound of the Tombigbee River flowing past campsites creates a constant backdrop at this Corps of Engineers facility. COE Coffeeville Lake Service Campground sits on the riverbank in rural Alabama, offering both tent and RV camping with full hookups. The campground attracts a mix of families and fishing enthusiasts drawn to the water access.

Maintained bathhouses earn consistent praise from visitors, with Joshua D. noting they are "clean, well stocked and functional." RV sites provide shade and concrete picnic tables, while tent-only areas offer a more open layout. The boat launch gives direct access to the river for fishing and paddling. Gravel pads accommodate campfires, and the facility includes wheelchair-accessible features throughout.

Road access remains straightforward year-round, making this a practical base for exploring the region's waterways. Campers can find additional options through camping near Silas or visit nearby Bladon Springs State Park Campground for a different setting. Volunteer hosts assist with site selection and local information.

Reservations help secure waterfront spots during peak fishing seasons, though the campground rarely reaches capacity outside of major holidays.

Beautiful and well kept campground with great views

Hosts are friendly and helpful. Campground is well maintained and offers good amenities for the price. Bathhouse is clean, well stocked and functional. Campground had a mix of families and fishermen. The tent only sites feel a little sterile compared to other places I've tent camped but the RV sites are nice and shaded. Facilities are wheel chair accessible. Will definitely stay here again

Beautiful peaceful place

Very peaceful place on the Tombigbee River. We enjoyed our stay so much. The campground is so clean. The bathhouses are very nice and well maintained. Perfect spot to put a boat in. The volunteers are helpful. Easy to get in and out of the campground. The spot we stayed on was a pull through on the river side with a large gravel pad for a campfire and a picnic. Nice cement tables.

So Peaceful!!

Our first camping trip. This was the perfect spot. Small campground with big spots. Lots of pull through spots right on the river. So quiet. Nice bathhouses. Will definitely be back. Very nice volunteers.
