Exceptional stargazing

This is a mountain among many different state park and forest areas, making it exceptional for stargazing. The park and local astronomy clubs run events throughout the year so check their website if you’re thinking about visiting. The campground even has its own astronomy field and special all-night astronomy shelters, something I’ve never seen anywhere else. The astronomers are always friendly so don’t worry if you don’t have your own telescopes. If you’re not into stargazing this is still a lovely wooded central/northern PA campground with a lot of hiking along the Susquehannock Trail.
