Park is open again

Washburne had been closed awhile (Covid and budget issues with the state parks).  But now is open and looking real good.  The park crews have put a lot of maintenance in.  And the park is on the reservation system now, so you cn be assured of a site.

Trails are in great shape, and short walk to the beach is well worth it.  Beautiful stretch of beach, and my dogs ran to exhaustion.  The longer walk to Heceta Head and the lighthouse was great.  Only a few miles.

Sites are water and electric or tent.  RV dump station is available across the road at the day use area.  Clean and potable water to boot.

Sites are shady but blocked generally from the coastal breezes.  Bring a jacket;-)

Loved the stay, quiet and comfortable.
