Close quarters but lots of amenities

We only stayed here for one night but enjoyed it. We were in one of the rustic little cabins which consisted of a double bunk bed, table with 2 chairs, small garbage can, and lantern. All the sites were close together but if you’re in the Tetons, you probably won’t be spending much time just hanging out at camp. There is coin operated laundry, a beautiful lodge with a bistro and full restaurant, plus a little gas station/grocery. Would recommend if you’re not looking for peace and quiet!

Great spot

Centrally located between Yellowstone national park in the grand Teton national Park this campground really has it all.

OK, there’s no Wi-Fi but there is laundry with a change machine, they have showers with warm water and toilets, A convenience store with groceries and a gift shop, gas station, and even a restaurant.

The sites are roomy enough not too close to your neighbor. Each site is full hook up and a pull through. ATT and Verizon service worked well.

Cutest little cabins

We booked a cute little cabin, even though we had a van and tents because is looked like a good experience. We had bunk beds, with a desk and chairs. Outside we had a picnic table with a fire ring. Clean sites and cabin, showers, and restroom. There are washing machines on site. I would camp her again and stay in another cabin.

Good location at the northern end of Great Tetons

This highly trafficked campground on the northern end of the Great Tetons National Park is in a good spot for anyone going to or coming from Yellowstone. All the RV sites are pull through with 50/30/20 amp electrical, water and sewer. During the summer it is quite dusty, so be aware tent campers.

The sites were a mix of dirt and gravel, not terribly deep but wide.

There is laundry, propane and fresh water available. The lodge, gas station and small store are directly across the street. The gas station has free air.

Nice campground

We were able to get a FF site. It’s clean and has showers and laundry. It is a dusty campground from the dirt roads and cars driving around. It’s a bit pricey but it’s only a 30 minute drive to Colter Bay and a 1/2 mile walk to the Snake River. Lots of nice trails to walk. We walked along the river and did Huckleberry hot springs. We stayed 2 nights and had to move to a different FF site that did not have a bear box.

Nice campground

Nice campground inside the park. Good layout , clean showers not great ventilation but not bad. If I had to complain about anything it would be not every site has a bear box. Also if people drive fast it

creates a lot of dust if it hasn’t rained in a while. So please do not speed thru the campground.

Great stopping point after Yellowstone

We stopped here after exiting Yellowstone to rest and eat and be on the road early the next day. The restaurant at the lodge was fantastic! Our campsite was lovely with full hook ups but it was packed and the smoke from the campfires were a bit bothersome for my asthmatic family member. Beautiful trails to walk through meadows as well.

Great location if you plan to visit both Grand Teton and Yellowstone. It may be a bit of a drive depending on what you want to do, but we didn’t mind since the amenities were great. These included clean bathroom/showers with hot water, dishwashing station, gas station, convenience store, restaurant, and gift shop. Tent sites have a bear box, picnic table, and fire pit. Our biggest complaints are that the WiFi at the lodge does not work well and the campground is pretty crowded. Other than that, it is quite nice.

Nice campground between the Tetons and Yellowstone

We had a great time at this campground...some excitement the first morning as a young grizzly wandered into our campsite and we had to back into our camper and rooftop tent.  Host security and rangers were very helpful.  Facilities were clean.  Note that there is no cell reception.  Conveniently located between the Tetons and Yellowstone, but be prepared to do a fair amount of driving to see attractions in either park.  We had a site on the perimeter, but depending on where you are I can imagine some of the sites are a bit close together.  Site sizes vary, but some of the fifth wheel folks took quite a while to maneuver in and out of their camps as things could be tight.  Staff was helpful, and the lodge is close by for food and supplies.  Lodge has free very spotty satellite wifi if you need internet access.  4 stars instead of 5 because depending on your campsite location there is a fair amount of highway noise.

Farthest from most Grand Teton Attractions

Nice National Park campground, though expensive. Reservations only. We had a pull through hookup site with water and electricity. The bathrooms have flush toilets and free showers. There are dishwashing stations at the bathrooms as well. Sites are close together but they did a good job of keeping the large trees as well. We felt it was a little far from hikes and other activities within Grand Teton National Park.

Right in the Middle!

This was my second stay here. The first time I camped in my tent for 3 nights while we did touristy things all over Yellowstone and it was a great stay. This time I rented a rustic cabin for 5 nights and mainly dayhiked trails in the Grand Tetons. You will not have cell service here but there is WiFi and the camp store and the is also data service for Verizon and ATT customers at the Jackson Lake overlook in GTNP. We used the laundry facilities, the showers and the camp store during our stay. There is also a restaurant that offers carry out only service. We didn’t use that though. We did purchase our wood from the camp store and it was pricy and that was expected. We did not see any bear here and we did experience a few days of heavy wildfire smoke.

Wyoming Weather

First off, amazing location and easy travel between Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. We visited June 2020 (snowed our first day) and stayed at spot #521. It's the only location you can see the Tetons from your campsite! You can also take a trail down to the Snake River. We saw a fox run through our first day (see video)! Probably the most we've paid to tent camp but well worth it! The campground offers amenities such as laundry and a bathhouse with hot water! Everything was very clean too. There was a gas station/store on property and a restaurant. Water and propane filling stations. Firewood for sale. The campsite itself offered full hookups, picnic table, bear box and a firepit/grill. Would stay here again but wouldn't mind checking out Jenny Lake campground!

National Park Hub

We stayed here during a two-week trip visiting several national parks in the West with our friends. Since we had limited time to spend at each of our destinations, we wanted to stay as close as possible to the parks, so this campground fit the bill for visiting both Grand Teton and Yellowstone.

We called ahead to be sure of check in procedures. We first drove to the visitor center and checked in. We were given maps and directions to our sites (our request for neighboring sites was honored). It was easy to locate Site 310, a pull through site with full hookups. The sites were level and mainly dirt (little to no gravel). The roads were the same, so everything stayed dusty for our three-night stay. There were some nice shade trees, and we were able to create a nice little shared yard space with our friends between the two trailers.

There was a great deal of foot and car traffic on the little road our site was on because of our proximity to the bathhouse. It was entertaining watching tent campers run to the bathroom in the mornings while we sipped our coffee outside. We didn’t spend much time hanging out here because we spent the majority of our time visiting the two national parks. Cell service was nonexistent unless we drove to Jackson Overlook. Being out of touch with our families was the worst part of staying here, so we made the ten-minute drive to this point to touch base and take care of emails/business back home. The gas station near the campground was convenient for fuel and ice, so we appreciated that especially after driving through the desolate areas of Wyoming.

Although the dusty roads were an annoyance, we decided that this was the best place to stay for anyone wanting to visit both national parks and have the luxury of full hookups. We would definitely stay here again for visiting Grand Teton and Yellowstone. Maybe by then, they’ll have some gravel.

Dusty, rundown and overpriced

June 2020, Vehicles driving through campground were kicking up clouds of dust. Sewer connection was so high above grade that we could not use it with our Class B Roadtrek.

Showers were OK. The person who we had refill out propane tank overfilled it despite me telling him the stop. He pegged the gauge at the 100% mark. He then argued that that was how he always does it. That person should not be refueling propane tanks as he is dangerous. We had to burn off the excess fuel before we would feel safe traveling through the desert temps on our way home.

Family Friendly and Convenient

My boyfriend and I stayed here when we didn't have any luck with the more primitive spots we had in mind. Although initially upset, we were treated to some simple pleasures, including a HOT SHOWER after a hot day of exploring Yellowstone! We rolled in relatively late, as the sun was starting to set, and had no problems.

The employees at the office and gas station were very helpful and friendly. They even worked with us to get a "more secluded" site at the end of a row. This is a busy campground outside of a busy NP, but it does not feel overly busy and detract from the scenery. If anything, it is very comforting while camping near grizzly country. I would say it is perfect for families, and those who want to enjoy the wild outdoors of Yellowstone with less hassle and a little more convenience.

There is a gas station nearby- really great after driving all around Yellowstone all day. Perfect for anyone exploring Yellowstone or Grand Teton.

Very Nice Campsite

Visited here in June of 2019. Great campground close to the lodge, convenience store, gas station, and laundry. Cell phone service and even radio station reception are almost nonexistent throughout the park, recommend stopping by a lodge to get the daily weather report and news. We were hit by very sudden blizzard in the beginning of June. The day before was sunny and 85° F, we had servers thunderstorms that night with 10” of snow the next morning! The park closed the gates so we couldn’t leave that morning. Both our cell phones didn’t work. Check the lodges for news and weather.

The restaurant at the lodge was very good. The lodge has one public phone for long distance calls. The satellite WiFi is slow because of all the people trying to use it. If you really need it, try late at night.

Highly recommend the horseback ride/tour through the park at this lodge. It was amazing. The lodge front desk is where you sign up for the horseback tour.

The fireplace at the lodge has board games and lots of kids gather to play. An awesome place!

Nice campground north of Grand Teton Park

Easy pull through sites, 415. Level Sewer connection had an odd configuration.  We had to dig a bit of dirt out in order to make a connection.  Nice, clean bathrooms.  Showers had no seats and only one hook for clothes, towels and toiletry bag. Very limited Wi-fi that had to be accessed at the lodge reception area.   No cell phone service.  A courtesy phone is available at the lodge reception desk.  Clean laundry facility. 2.25 to wash, 1.75 to dry 40 minutes.   Convenience store. Gift shop with WY fishing license. Did not use other amenities.  We took a nice ride out Grassy Lake Road from the ranch. The area near the ranch was burned in the 2016 wildfires so you will see lots of burned trees. On the plus side, the wildfires provide nutrients for the wildflowers to thrive.  This campground is also fairly convenient to many of the sites to see in the Grand Tetons.

They more than made it up to us though by preparing a new cabin while we ate dinner at the lodge, and then there was welcome basket with treats and games waiting for us in our cabin. Beautiful views in this area and just minutes from the park’s south entrance! It’s nice having the lodge right there, so even if you’re tent or RV camping, you can get a warm hearty meal ready when you want.

Peaceful and close to Snake River

HeadWaters Rv campground is located in the perfect place right between Yellowstone and The Tetons. Perfect for exploring both Parks. The cell service is pretty spotty, but it’s great to just put down your phone and enjoy your surroundings. It is only 5 minutes walk from the campground to Snake River access. Fires are allowed at this campground. There are Rv, tent, and cabins to stay at. The cabins in the camp area are small but have full sized bunk beds and a desk and dresser. These cabins do not have water or electricity, but there are other cabins with power up the road. The tent and Rv spots are on gravel with lots of shade, a picnic table, and fire ring. Rv sites are Electric and water. There are so many activities to do. Along with the activities they have every day there is horse riding, guided fly fishing, hiking trails for everyone, bus tours, jr. rancher classes and so much more Also on site at the campground is a dish washing area next to the clean bathrooms and showers. There is a propane fill, fresh water fill, restaurant, gift shop, ATM machine, gas station, and bear boxes. I would definitely recommend this campground for any duration of trip.

Good! But I’d Stay Somewhere Else Next Time

It’s a clean camp site, well maintained, great Facilities! You’re in The GRAND Tetons! Really can’t complain! ... if I came back I’d love to stay closer to Colter Bay or Jenny Lake just for a better view.

Full service

There is a store with gas pumps and a parking lot that we dropped our trailer before check in time to go explore the area. Staff and grounds were great. It is away from everything so you can see lots of stars at night

Free back county dispersed camping

Following the road behind the Flagg Ranch Restaurant/ Visitors Center and you will find backcountry campsite scattered in small groups of 5 and 6 along the river. Vault toilet, picnic tables, fire rings trash cans and bear safes are provided. No fires were allowed this year but the beauty of the mountains were enchanting. Park rangers stopped by to check for compliance to the 5 day limit and pick up trash, I was able to leave camp set up and go sight seeing and no one bothered any thing. There was fly fishing in the river and swimming was also possible, boating further up river, I stayed on the shore. People were very friendly and by day two we were all hanging out together watching the pelicans float down the river and fly back up together like a group of kids at a water park. It was amazing.

Great location for the parks

This campground was good for the location between Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons but the bathrooms were generally dirty with 3 of the stalls being out of toilet paper for several days. The layout of the campground is confusing when you first get there. The store is nice though and the staff were helpful.
