Had a great time

We have camped at Curt Gowdy a few times, but this weekend we had a site that was a favorite for sure! We camped in the Tumbleweeds loop site 32 Which had a gazebo, table, fire pit and a little path down to the beach/water.

There was some broken glass, and the fire pit needed to be cleaned out as it was full of ash, but overall it was perfect for our family.

The little camp store area is a quick 5 minute walk down the road where you can buy fire wood, snacks, live bait or rent paddle boards, kayaks, or canoes. We rented a paddle board for the day and had a great time out on the water!

Only giving the campground a 4/5 because there are always minor things with the campsite whether it be glass, garbage, a full fire pit… but those don’t ruin the weekend for us. The staff is always friendly, the rangers drive by a couple times a day.
