The campground is very quiet at night. The sites on loop C are spaced out, i have been in other campground where you are uncomfortably too close to you neighbors. The bathrooms are clean,  not the Ritz-Carlton but you are camping so...

The Gifford house is a short walk away and they have fresh pies every morning.  I have stayed here two years in a row around the same time of the year, end of September beginning of October. The weather is great for long hikes you may need wind breaker or sweater in the mornings.
