Quiet campground
With all the dogs and kids here we were surprised how quiet it was! Our camp neighbors were super friendly. Check in was 0 hassle. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the wifi is unusable and the campsites are very tight. We weren’t able to set up the pen for our dogs because there’s no room.
Management is rude af
Stayed a month
Nice to explore Gettysburg
Small sites but some are along the creek. Playground and mini golf available. Close to battlefields

Great Camp site
I have spent almost every summer here since 2010. Great amenities and clean camping areas. The original owners were friendly and helpful

Close to battlefield
Stayed for 5 nights to tour the historical sites. Was very easy to access from the campground. Was not a lot in the way of restaurants and take out nearby. A lot closed. The campground was packed out. We had a pull through that was easy to get in and out of but was so close to our neighbor we had to keep the blinds shut or we’d be looking inside each other’s campers. We were also on buddy hook ups with our neighbors. Was quiet and had what we needed but expensive for what they consider “premium”.
Nice place to stay with history all around!
Great place. Friendly staff and bonus that it’s pet friendly. Watch out for falling black walnuts in October. We heard them hitting ours and other rigs during our three day stay. Gets very quiet at 10pm even when the place is packed.
Great Acces to Battlefield
Quiet, shady campground with lots of trees and backed up to Marsh Creek. Our bunkhouse sleepers (back of camper) had the trickle of water to fall asleep to and wake up to each day.
Very nice and accommodating staff although we didn’t have much reason to interact with them.
Dated and limited amenities with the exception of the swimming pool (which was still closed at the time for the chilly weather). The mini-golf looked like it was from the 1960’s…😂. We found it cute and amusing.
Easy access to drive to battlefield and downtown Gettysburg.
Pet friendly.

Lovely, quiet campground
Warm, friendly staff. Large, quiet sites among the trees and by a creek. Pleasant experience.
First Trip in Travel Trailer
Very nice staff and accommodations. Centrally located with kid friendly activities. Would definitely go back!
Nice campground
We got a buddy site. It was nice to be door to door with our friends joining us. The campground was empty the last weekend in March. The campground is easy to get to. Our GPS took us through the battlegrounds which was a pleasant surprise on the way in.
The amenities were pretty standard. They did have 4 wheeler bikes that were free to rent.
Great place
Whenever we go to Gettysburg which is usually once a year we always stay here. Really nice place. Recommend a site by the creek Cool laid back staff and clean bathrooms nice playground for kids. Not to mention it’s a few minute drive to historic Gettysburg. It’s nice and out of the way of the busy parts of town.
Very close to Gettysburg
If you’re looking for a backwoods, off-the-beaten-path type of campground, this isn’t it. If you are looking for a campground that is very close to an historical National Park not to mention shopping and restaurants, this is for you.
The amenities of Gettysburg Campground are quite good: full hookups with cable, all working as expected. Level sites, friendly and efficient staff, decently sized sites long enough for my 32’ coach and a toad. The two drawbacks are that the sites are quite packed together and the noise of traffic– at least in the frontmost sites– can get rather loud at night. However, the proximity to Gettysburg National Park can’t be beat.
Close to history and so much to do, family oriented
Campground has so many activities for active families. Pool, swing sets, hosted events and theme nights and weekends. Sites are large enough for 2 tents, many Rv and seasonal rentals one main bath house and very clean potable potties scattered throughout the area. Small creek runs at the end of the grounds.. Very close to so much history, close to downtown Gettysburg with sight seeing tours offered for the battlefields, shopping and dining close by.
Quaint clean Campground - Family Friendly
This is a great campground - quiet. The stream around the perimeter was very nice. We had a primitive site for tents, but wish we had gotten one with water and electricity. There were portapotties that were clean when we got there, but they didn't dump out after the weekend. We were right across from them, so we could smell them. In laws stayed at a full RV site which was only a short walk for us to get to them. Both sites were nice, but again, I wish we could have gotten a site with hookups closer to them to make the family camping experience more enjoyable.
The pool was quite refreshing, the store was nice, but quaint. The mini golf was very very basic, but the fact that it was free made up for it. It was about a five minute drive to the downtown area which was wonderful to walk around when we got there. Also a couple of blocks from the battlefield which was really cool. We had a couple of day drives to lancaster while we were there.
Because we left most days, it didn't bother us that they only had activities during the weekends. That might be an issue for some. We also brought our dog and they had special bins and supplies installed for poop bags.
One of the evenings, we had a large rainstorm and they filled in all the deep puddles and holes in the driving roads with crushed stone. They are on top of that upkeep making it easier for those hauling campers to not have any surprises on their way out.
All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

Awesome
Great spot. Nice creek with ducks. Close to battlefield.
Gettysburg Getaway
Very fun family friendly getaway for the weekend. Close to Gettysburg Battleground.
Best tent camping site in Gettysburg
campground was pretty crowded, but the tent sites were secluded and well kept. staff was extremely helpful. close to the battleground and all attractions.
small sites!! but tons to do!!
It is a wonderful place to have Kids. tons of things for them to do. we were in tent sites which felt bigger than most and were right by river. not far to go anywhere walking. porta potties were cleanest I have ever seen even with a ton of recent rain. lots of history nearby .

Nice quiet place to camp
Just as all the other reviews say it’s a great place to stay. Quiet clean and the occasional drop of nuts from squirrels but not a big deal.
Wonderfully family friendly, and great community atmosphere!
We go for Halloween Weekend every year. Wonderfully organized, lots of activities for kids, and a fun costume competition/parade! They also hold a camp wide trick-or-treating session, and even a dance for the bigger kids in the clubhouse. A small campstore carries most if not all necessities you might need, and staff is knowledgeable and willing to answer any troubleshooting/general questions you may have about the camp and surrounding area.
nice sites along the water
This campground is a short drive from the battlefields and has nice enough sites, however being along the water there could be serious flooding. We had to evacuate after the first of our three night stay. Also beware of the elderly gentleman who leads you to your site. Don't let him guide you in as he backed three of our group into a tree.
Quiet, Plentiful, Not Cheap
This was our third stay here on our somewhat annual family meetup in Gettysburg. I always appreciate the near solitude experience of this campground as 90% of the sites are RV sites, that are kept away from the tenting area. The tenting area is calm and has a creek right next to it to listen to in the evening and morning. One of the drawbacks of this campground is that a lot of the trees are black walnut trees and the squirrels do not shy away from dropping the walnuts like bombs on your head, car, or table when you're preparing breakfast.
Gear Review: I won a pair of Treadagain sandals for one of my last campground reviews and this was the first camping trip that I took with them. When I initially bought them, they gave me an abrasion cut and I contemplated sending them back, but after wearing them more, they became more comfortable and I have found them to be ideal for walking around in all day since they have thick bottoms.
Amazing weekend trip!
Gettysburg is a place that I could spend days in and learn all its history. The campgrounds were easy to find and had plenty of room. I was really pleased with the host and how kept up all the facilities were.
Family campground that's great for base camp.
Stayed here in October while family stayed in hotels. This is a family campground and is mostly occupied by RV's who stay long term. Tent sites are spacious and fits 2 cars, sites fit 2-3 tents. The tent sites have numerous walnut trees, so there's a bit of a hazard there when walking around trying to dodge the falling nuts (cars are targets too!). The campground is pretty close to downtown Gettysburg if you're looking for restaurants/shops. It's in the heart of the battlefield access points and trails. The campground usually puts on various activities, parties, etc, mainly kid oriented. This is a nice site/area for base camping in the fall.
