Right on the beach
Really cool area. Walking distance to many beach access points. There was someone working the whole time we were there to sell firewood, or assist in any way needed. The sites are very close together however so there’s not much privacy

Great beach!
The campground itself (sandwiched between the ocean and Highway 101) is nothing special. The sites are a bit tight and close together and although there is a fair amount of foliage, there is not a lot of privacy between the sites. Camper pads are paved, and some sites have electric and water hookups while others do not have hookups. Many of the camper pads have roots underneath the pavement. There are also a couple of yurts.
You will hear road noise during the day but at night when the traffic dies down, the roar of the ocean takes over!
The bathrooms and showers were clean and had both soap and paper towels.
BUT where this campground earns it five stars is the beach! It is long, wide, and flat - perfect for walking, and running, and although I did not see any bikers, I did see tire tracks. There is direct and easy access to this beach from the campground. I got in an invigorating run and then dragged my yoga mat to the beach – a great way to start the day. The footwash station was a great amenity. The sunsets were stunning!
Although we only spent one night here, I could easily have spent a week as I love the Oregon coast and this campground provided a great way to enjoy it.

Wonderful campground
Had a great Site. Nice camp hosts. Very clean and well maintained.
Ocean View Heaven
An outstanding campground. Wonderful & very friendly camp hosts. Extremely clean RV sites & bathrooms. Excellent hot showers. Great WiFi service. Seconds to the beach. Nine miles from walport. Very clean beach. Love this campground.
Beautiful small campground with beach access
A gorgeous spot on the beautiful Oregon Coast just south of Waldport with spots for tents and RVs and access to an expansive and wide beach.
Unfortunately for us, we had reservations the same night a storm came ashore that dumped cold rain all night accompanied by howling winds. We leaned that it's not the norm for June, though.
We'll be back again on another trip. The nice campground layout, gracious camp hosts, proximity to Waldport and resources, and easy, direct access to the broad beautiful beach will draw us back soon.
Lovely beach access
This is a great state campground with lots of beach access. Just be aware of low spots in the campsites if rain is in the forecast.
Very nice beach camping
This campground is close to the beach, clean and very pleasant. This campground shares showering facilities with Tillicum campground.
Close to the Beach
We spent 2 nights/3 days at Beachside the end of June. The weather was lovely as we missed the extreme heat in the Willamette valley. This is a smaller campground, but had water and electric hookups and nice restrooms with hot showers 😊 Easy short walk to the beach and one can easily walk south on the beach to Yahats, or north to Waldport. Going north out of Waldport, just over the bridge, we took kayaks up Beaver Creek (east side of highway 101, opposite Ona beach. It was quite picturesque with lots of waterfowl.

This Really is Beachside
I think this is the closest I've camped to the ocean on the Oregon Coast. I didn't have a beachside site, but still was very close. Stayed here over Easter weekend and had friends in the spot right next to me.. Good privacy between sites and did I mention access to the beach!
Close to Yachats, one of my favorite coastal towns.

Great for hikers/bikers
Camped here on a bicycle tour. Hiker/biker site was not as tucked away as many are on the Oregon coast, but it's all one needs when traveling. Showers were hot. Price was $5. No reservations required. Caught a great sunset on the coast that night.
By the beach!
Site 49B was mostly shaded and pretty flat. Parking space was paved. Had a fire ring and a picnic table. Nice big area for a large tent or a screen tent. Pine needles everywhere was a bit annoying but not much you can do unless you brought a broom. Super close to the very short trail to the beach. Right next to trail to bathhouse and foot wash station. Campground was at least 75% full when I arrived. People were respectful and quiet. The beach was clean and enormous. Plenty of room to spread yourself out and not disturb people. Bathhouse was pretty clean, didn’t smell bad, and had soap in both dispensers. Water pressure was great. Water only took a couple minutes to get warm. Garbage was emptied regularly in the bathroom which was nice. They had a designated garbage and recycling area for campers too. I also noted that the campground itself was very clean. There were quite a few potholes though so just make sure you drive slowly and watch your step if you decide to walk around the campground roads. The site I was on was the second loop in from highway 101 so you heard quite a bit of traffic noise unfortunately. If I camp here again I would definitely try to camp in the loop furthest from the road-right next to the beach. Those spots unfortunately appear to be first come first served so there is no knowing if you will actually be able to get a spot.

Great campground
Tucked back in the trees behind the beach, protected from the wind. Can hear highway 101 but it runs along nearly every beach here. Great spog
Perfect Ocean Stay
My family and I tented here 2 nights while roadtripping across the country. The site was great (#53) with a blacktop pad for the car, tent pad, table and ring. It was private...ish, we felt very comfortable. We could walk 100yds and be on the ocean; other sites were beachside. Bathrooms and showers were clean. A host on duty sold firewood but only between 5pm and 7pm so plan accordingly.
We have already discussed driving from Wisconsin, with Beachside SP being our destination for a week long stay!
Fairly nice campground
Very good beach access. Very private sites. A little bit of road noise is the only downside.
Great spot for beach access
Great campground right on the beach. Fire pit, picnic table and easy access to water. Also close to the road - at least many tent sites are. But clean, close to Waldport and Yachats, and best of all Easy stroll to the beach. We had a whole little tent cul de sac to ourselves (site 31 I think). Could hear the waves of the ocean - and an occasional car- while going to sleep. There are two yurts that looked cool too, though one of them is kinda close to a neighboring private home.
Right on the beach!!!
What a wonderful campground right on the beach. Make a reservation in advance to secure an ocean view as you emerge from your tent.
Wonderful Beach
Camped here in May and managed to get one of the 2 Yurts available.
This is RIGHT ON 101 its a mere sliver of forest between 101 and the beach.
The yurt was amazing and at least kept the road noise to a miniumum.
The reason to come here is the magnificent almost empty beach..its breath taking great.
We strolled around the campground and it seemed to me they got it all wrong, they had the RV sites nearest the beach and furthest from 101..while the poor tenters were right up against the highway.
As a tenter there is no way i would stay here it would be unbearable without ear plugs, they should have the big RVs next to the road as tbhey dont hear a thing inside and the tents next to the beach.
But still a well maintained fanily campground with a beautiful empty beach
Beautiful!
This one s a great beach campground with a handful of tent camping spots and many RV spots. The beach is very easy access and during the week, there were only a handful of people using the beach. After 5 days of camping throughout the area, I was thankful for the availability of a warm shower. The only drawback was the constant noise from the 101. Just a tip for you tent campers...A11 has a great ocean view
Great beaches.
Some amazing ocean front spots. The highway side can be quite noisy from Hwy 101. Ocean side is near enough to the waves that it overpowers the Hwy.
Great for RVs
Smaller loop campground with deep campsites for RVs. Wouldn't recommend staying here if you are just in a tent or prefer quieter campsites. Great access to the beach, recycling, restrooms, electric hookups, etc.

Right on the beach - thus the name
Between Waldport and Yachats on 101. Always full - reserve early. The beach is right there. Sites are separated by trees. Hosts on site. One big bathroom with showers. One smaller bathroom. Tent and trailer/rv hookups. No sewer dump on site. Closes for the winter.
Love this place!
We have camped here a few times and love the area. It does have a few non reservable sites, so even when we decided at the last minute to drive down, we were lucky to have a few sites still available. They also have free showers in the restroom. We will be back many more times!
Oregon beach getaway
This is a great small campground area. Bathroom/shower house very clean. Short walk through the campground to the beach (3 access points). Host staff super friendly. When it was windy on the beach, the campground was quiet and not very windy. Good tree coverage. Was kind of cool at the beginning of May. Beach area is huge, lots to walk.
Close Campsites/Great Location
Forested campsites, some of them are pretty close together, but overall a pretty good spot. Easy beach access, lots of points of interest nearby including Cape Perpetua, Waldport, Siuslaw National Forest. Good facilities, clean restrooms, drinking water conveniently located throughout the campgrounds. It was busy while we visited and even though the sites were close together, it never felt crowded. Lots of trees, bushes between sites that make it feel more secluded. Some highway noise, but nothing too bad and it quiets down at night.

Great Beach campground
I stayed at this campground while doing a bike ride down the 101 for multiple days.
This was an easy to find campground with all the amenities that you would need. Allowed fires and fresh water. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking just for a tent spot, to families looking for a camping getaway with friends. Awesome place close to the ocean.
Beachfront convenience
This is one of my favorite sites on the oregon coast. It's easy to get to, right off hwy 101 between yachats and waldport. This does make for some traffic noise, which settles in the eve. but well worth the beachfront sites. Steps from the the crashing waves and miles of unpopulated clean sandy beaches. Clean restrooms with nice hot showers for paying campers and at a reasonable rate, under 30 bucks a night, well worth it. They sell wood on site and also offer jr. ranger programs and interpretive sessions as well.
PROS:
- Beachfront sites
- Beach access
- Super clean restroom facilities
CONS:
- sometimes hard to get sites
- Directly on hwy 101

Quaint little campground near the beach
Beautiful beach, quaint little campground with two sets of restrooms and a set of showers. Very well kept.
The only drawbacks for me personally were all of the tent campsites were in the back, while the RV sites were closest to the beach, potentially with the best views. Plus the tent sites are closest to 101. However, the noise didn't seem to bother me throughout the day and through the night.

Yurts are sweet, hot showers are hot
Beachside is great. The yurts are the perfect thing for winter or fall camping. We like to go in the winter and watch whales, and staying in a yurt is the perfect thing for the rainy season. Because the weatehr changes by the minute, you can walk on the beach, head back to the yurt during a downpour, and back out when it stops. If you get really cold, you can take a hot shower! Not a crowded feel, even when full. Lovely views.
