Campground but power, water, bathrooms SHUT
Campground open and they eill take your reservation and money. But everything is shutdown. Water is off. Bathroom and shower is locked, despite notice saying one near cabins in upper campground is open. Power pedestals have no power. Not happy.
The Oregon Trail
Great campground that mixes history and fun. Located on the Snake River across from the actual Oregon Trail. There's an Oregon Trail Interpretive Center located at the park that is an excellent source of historical information.
Very Green
Was recommended to stay here by another RV park. This location doesn’t disappoint! Clean showers were easy access. My site has water and electricity to charge my battery bank. Would stay again. Sites are somewhat next to eachother but feels spaced out enough.
Great location
Lovely campground. Spacious spots and a nice walk to the river.
3 islands
Beautiful spot, relatively inexpensive water and electric hook ups.
A Favorite!
Really fun and unique 18 Frisbee disc golf course and a walk to the nearby YKnot Winery. And you're on the Snake! Great bathrooms and showers
Beautiful Oasis!
Lovely State Park with lots Of trees and grass. Easy back in site with full hookups. The history of the location is a bonus!
Scenic and Peaceful
This campground sits on the Snake River at the site of what was a perilous river crossing for travelers on the old Oregon Trail. The campground is clean and well tended and sites on the outer lower loop have gorgeous views. An Oregon Trail museum and interpretive center also sits on the property. This was one of my favorite campgrounds.
First time out
This was our first time out with the new trailer. We were very impressed with the whole experience. Spot was easy to get into and level. Well maintained area and clean bathrooms and shower area. Kids had fun running around playing and enjoyed the Oregon trail museum. Definitely will use this site again.
Convenient access while travelling
Sites have good shade. Many of the RV sites are close and open.
There are"companion" sites which can accommodate 2 large campers side-by-side. Many of these are also more private, facing away from other sites.
The cabins are walk-in with parking 50 to 100 ft away.
Easy access, pleasant surroundings
Just a quick overnight off I84. Few people here, cold! Seems clean, well marked.
History and great camping combined
We loves our stay. We were lucky to find a spot during peak season. We actually had to rent a companion site which was more than a single site. However, since we were traveling the state. We bought a annual pass. The discounts it provided paid for itself in no time. The sites were well spaced around a large common area. The grass was lush. There were lots of trees to keep the temps down. The bathhouse was dated. But so am I. LOL. The visitor center is realities new and very very nice. Definitely a must. As others have mentioned, it is where the pioneers following the Oregon Trail crossed. Amazing history. The winery next door was a good visit. They have a full bar and restaurant. We didn't sample the wine, but it's must be pretty good. It's a nice facility. They also run a small campground on property.
Birthday weekend
The campground has many things to do.It has a Winery,Golf Course, and The Oregon Trail Interpretive Center. All within walking distance. Grass was still green. Wonderfull views

Tree shaded family campground with lawns near river
This campground has two loops. Both are nice with spacious spots. central lawn area for playing games. Plenty of open space for walks/hikes. Very close nearby is the site where Oregon trail pioneers crossed the snake river. There is a barge and other remnants of history to look at. Two RV dumpsites with water in this park. Winery nearby and golf courses.
Beautiful Park
We got here about 3:30 on a Friday and we got the last spot. They have a lot , but we’re full. The lady at the gate was very nice. It cost $36 for us since we were from out of town. The sites are very nice. Long paved with water and electric on one side and the pick-nik table behind us. It has 1 fire ring/grill in a box area. As crowded as the park seems, it’s very quite. We walked to the river on the hiking path and found some beautiful scenery there. All in all I would suggest staying here, just be sure to reserve first.

Beautiful Only word to describe
Near the Snake River. Beautiful green, shaded park. Fantastic camp staff. Ice and Firewood honor system purchase. Multiple dump stations. We were here during a 105 degree heatwave, the RV felt much cooler thanks to the trees. Excellent choice and beautiful grounds.
Beautiful and Historically Significantl
We were about I hour early and the really nice person at the gate welcomed us and directed us to the Day Use area to wait. Wow! We were blown away. It was a large, lush, green, tree shaded area by the Snake River. There is also a new, really nice, Visitors Center with a film and displays about the significance of Three Island Crossing to the pioneers on the Oregon Trail.
We stayed in the lower loop. It was as beautiful as the day use area. In the center of the loop is a very large common area with 2 1arge picnic pavilions. The large restroom was dated, but clean. The showers were closed for lack of staff to clean. The upper and lower loop have their own 2 way, dual dump stations. AT&T service was good.
Did I mention, there is a trail to the winery next door? Really good wine, full bar and restaurant. Tlhere is also a golf course at the winery. We will definitely be back. We definitely recommend.
Nice location, good facilities
I car camped here on a trip back from Oregon to home in Texas. The pad was overkill for my needs but I wanted bathroom facilities.
Nice wooded grounds, very quiet even though it was pretty much at capacity, and the facilities were nice and clean.

A family favorite!
We love this campground in the spring and fall, I imagine it would be hot and full of bugs during the summer months. But it has stunning views (we only stay on the upper loop), great places to explore, and it’s easy to get to. The museum is fun to check out, and they often have events going on that are fun to check out. Our friends say the winery next door is great too, but we’ve never been yet.

Historic stop on the Snake River
Gorgeous state park campground along the Snake River. Spacious sites, clean bathrooms, friendly camp hosts, and dog friendly. Campground is walking distance to a winery and the Oregon Trial crossing off the river (watch our for that dysentery and tie up your oxen!)

Beautiful Camping!!!
Lots of grass. Lots of trees for shade. Located along the Snake River. This is our go-to campground when just want to get away for a few days
Great getaway
It was perfect for a quick get out of town getaway. It wasn’t crowded since it was mid November. We will be back!
Grassy and clean
Ok we thought this was going to be a good spot by the looks of it but our experience was mixed. It was hot when we were arrived at 5pm at around 101, but cooled down nicely as the sun went down.
The site had nice grass and was clean with nice shower facilities in the center of our loop fro site #38. The train goes through several times per night and is super loud!
Overall the sites are close together it was really noisy over the Labor Day weekend and we hardly got any sleep. The tree cover is nice but you can’t see any stars that way.
Nice and clean but won’t go back.
We were tent camping.
Too expensive
Based on the other Dyrt reviews, we originally planned to camp here on August 7 during our cross-country road trip. However, the price just didn’t seem worth it to us. We drove around the campground loops and saw that the sites were pretty close together and it was buggy. There were nice facilities at least. There were a number of sites open despite arriving at 10pm, though it was Wednesday. The total price of$40+ included the site fee+ non-res fee+ motor vehicle fee+ state sales tax. We had just come from paying$20 for a state park campground in Oregon with similar facilities, so it seemed silly to pay so much. In the end we stayed at the close by RV park which added a late arrival fee, so we probably only saved$15. Both campgrounds are near a railroad and local airway, so there is a lot of noise. If we could have done it again, I think we would have just skipping camping in this general area and kept driving a little further.
Nice place to take an RV
Went in mid July and stayed at site #14 which had a great view of the river and the cliffs. We really enjoyed the sunsets from there. Electricity and water (no sewer) temperature was in the 90s and so glad to have AC. Close to town and a winery nearby. Clean and well maintained. Campsites have very little privacy.
Nice place to stay
Stayed here before years ago. When our other campsite didn’t work out this time we headed here. Bathrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. Park is clean, plenty of trees and shade.
Fabulous historical getaway
Such a great campground. Something for everyone, even folf!
Nice campground near the river with several things to keep you busy.
We really liked this campground! First, the sites are nicely paved and level, and have full hookups which make an extended stay really nice. There is a picnic table and fire ring for having an enjoyable outdoor experience. there is a huge grass open area adjacent to the site which is nice for outdoor sports.
There is a hiking trail at the edge of the campground which takes you to a nearby winery for a flight of wine and some good food. Very nice for the adults! There is also a path that takes you to a park down at the river which is nice for the kids, and our boys loved the disc golf course. It is huge with 18 holes, but the front 9 are the best, as the back nine have a lot of cheat grass and bushes to lose your disc in.
Nearby there is also a museum about the Oregon trail and how the Three Island Crossing area was used by the settlers... Very interesting place!
Overall we had a great Memorial Day long Weekend.

Close to everything, including wineries!!
Thai camp ground is big and easy to get to from Boise! Only and hour! Easy access and clean showers/bathroom. Lots of open grassy areas and it was quite while we were there at the end of July 2018
