Great glampground close to CDA resort
We stayed here early summer and loved it, the park is well maintained and loved the beach area. We used to live in the area so it was nice to use the park as a home base while we revisited our favorite areas. I did knock off 1 star due to our first trip having to park in a very tight area, we were told to have the trailer tongue right at the front of the space and park behind the trailer (not sure why), this left us very little room to unhook and do a 4 point turn to avoid driving over the curbing and grass. Then found out I was 2” too close to the water and my slide would hit so had to rehook to adjust the trailer. Not a huge deal but I just don’t know why I had to park that way. Second trip the park was drying out and grass was mostly dead, but this time they let me park how I wanted. Overall we love the park but in the future will try to be more selective of the spots and time of year
10/10
Amazing Rv park! Astonishing views, friendly staff, large open spaces and location was perfect! My girlfriend and I already can’t wait to stay again.
Plenty of amenities, but WiFi sucks.
There is mostly positives about my 3 nights here. The lake is gorgeous and plenty of golf courses. Plus the conveniences of grocery stores and Walmart. The staff were friendly, the laundry and showers clean, but the WiFi was almost non existent outside of the office or library building. The beaches were very nice for both people and dogs. I rented a kayak for a couple of hours from the campground. The Tubbs Hill lakeside hike is a must do. I appreciated space and trails for my dog.

Pretty Good
Beautiful location convenient to downtown and on the water. The sites are close to others which for us isn’t a big deal but don’t expect isolation. It is very quiet after hours except for the rare houseboat that may drive by with music playing. Wifi is bad. Really bad. That’s not a big deal for us, but for some it may be a problem. There is a wifi room for those occasions you must connect.

Great Park!!
We only stayed one night on our way passing through, but wish we could have stayed more! The park is big and has all the amenities you would want for fun in the sun. Boat launch and beach access were in great condition. Local access to shops and food were just minutes away if needed.
Large RV resort no tent camping available
Blackwell is a large, open RV resort that’s efficiently run. Surprisingly, they only book sites over the phone. We had a pull thru site #125 which was gravel with a picnic table and shade tree. We liked its orientation (facing river) since the hot afternoon sun was hitting the utility side or hillside of the RV. They had a clean beach along the Spokane River with plenty of high quality beach chairs to relax in and watch the parade of boats coming from upriver. There’s a library and wi-fi room that really wasn’t much better signal than the rest of the park which was mediocre. The laundry room was large and extremely clean along with the individual public bath/showers. They’ve added cute touches around the premises. A kids BMX dirt bike area, secret gardens, walking nature paths and a pond with their own resident ducks. We’ll definitely would go back!

Pressure washing RVs well into the evening ??
This is a very nice camp ground on the lake and it’s very beautiful only problem is they allow a pressure washing RV service into the park all day and we’ll into the evening so unless you like listening to a small gas engine run do not use this park
Packing them in like a can of sardines
First, I am very greatful they were able to find a spot for us last minute. Electricity for A/C in the unpressidented heatwave was a relief.
PROS:
- Full hookups
- Beautiful beach area on the river.
- Swimming, Kayaking, SUP, Motorized boating all available just steps away.
- Showers and restrooms (didn't use)
- Easy access from main hwy
- Easy checkin and friendly staff
- Cable and mediocre wifi
- Very close to town
CONS:
- Sites VERY close so no privacy at all.
- Very limited shade
- wifi could be stronger
- Road noise if on the perimeter along the fence
We went past a couple of other campgrounds in the area. If we needed accommodations in coeur d'Alene again, we would stay here instead of the others we saw.

Great stay!
Very friendly and easy access for big rigs. Water access was great
Horrible road noise
Nice river access. Swimming beach, great floating. Showers and BR closed. Needs some TLC, picnic tables ready to break. Sites not very level. Logging trucks start early and run all day every day, so loud. Heavy traffic Hwy 95.
Full Service RV Park on Spokane River
Spent one night in site #51, a premium riverfront site. The site was reasonably level , not very private (most if not all spaces are out in the open). Lots of green grass all around and full hookups in our location. We could see the Spokane River from most of the windows in our rig and would have spent time in the nice adirondack chairs along the river if it hadn’t rained the bulk of the tie we were there. We did take a walk on the nature trail and found some nice flowers and wild mint growing on the shores, Cute little hobbit houses and bird houses along the way. We got decent Verizon coverage. We use a couple of jet packs and rarely use park provided wifi as it usually slow. This place was no exception.
We met one work camper there cleaning our site and she was friendly. The office staff was ok, not overly friendly and I can see why they might not get high scores as some of the ladies in the office were very standoffish.
I would have given this place five stars because our site was very nice. Great view. HOWEVER, unless you splurge for a riverfront site, the rest of the sites are a big gravel parking lot. So, if you stay here go for the riverfront sites.

Blackwell Island RV Resort
Coeur d'alene Idaho
Close to interstate, located next to Spokane River and lake. Boat and kayak rentals. Sites are gravel, level, both pull throughs and back ins available, FHU, no privacy between sites. Some nice water front sites. Chairs in place to enjoy the small beach. Nice volleyball and play area. Small BMX course was fun. Cute landscaping near water, small trees within the campground. Picnic tables, no wood fires allowed. No tents of any kind. Very limited store at the office. Town very close with stores and restaurants. Nice restaurant a short distance at the Marina called Cedars. Great private bathroom/with shower. Nice laundry facilities. Free cable and spotty wifi. Moose too!
