October is Golden
We were in Site RV-A. There is a public walkway, trail that moves along the boundary of the campground. We were the first site people walked by. Our dogs were not digging it. I chose to ignore it. The RV park is beautiful and there is a major city park within 200yds. Clear Creek was right across the city trail and we spent most of our time fishing for trout (no luck for us). The downtown area is within about 2 miles; restaurants, bars, shops. Very cool. Golden is a beautiful place to visit and the Clear Creek RV Park is definitely worth staying at.
Alert: Car Camping /Rooftop tents not allowed
Bummer that rooftop tents aren’t allowed. The location would have been great for my visit in the area.
Outstanding site on the creek
Found last minute one site available that met my needs of electricity and 23 ft RV. Site X Was all that they had and it is the nicest site I have seen (also my first in an RV) it’s on a river with a bike path, immaculate restrooms with no cost showers - a load of laundry will cost you $3 in quarters. Seems to be .3 mile walk to town.. I love it, staying 4 nights
Beautiful!
Beautiful place! We called ahead to reserve a site for the night. Arrived after the office had closed. Had a back-in full-hookups site that backed up to the walking path/sidewalk beside the river. Our site was long enough to stay hooked up. The campsite pads are level, wide enough for our slide without being on top of the neighbors, paved like the roads, with wide-enough gravel-and-cement areas between and beautiful mature shade trees everywhere. Our site had a big concrete picnic table and a small fire ring. Full hookups worked fine.
The River area was well-developed and well-used by the community as well as campers. It was a little disconcerting to hear people walking and talking so close behind our campsite, but we got used to it.
Bathrooms were clean.
We would definitely stay here again.
Excellent rv park
Great rv park. Quiet. Close to the river, tons of activities in the area.
Camping
Muy bien
Stuck up
Not good
Dog not allowed in your tent
Didn’t end up staying because they have a rule that dogs are not allowed to be in your tent, even just to sleep at night.. lady on the phone seemed nice.
Def don’t recommend
If you have a rooftop tent - they won’t let you park in an RV site, but you also technically don’t count as tents sites. We saw TONS of open RV sites but literally were told to leave. So, I don’t recommend this site.
FYI - 3 day limit on tent camping
Note there's a 3 day limit on tent camping.
Very clean and quiet
I didn’t get to my tent site until almost 9pm so I really haven’t seen the place during the daytime. However, when driving around looking for the 3 tent sites I noticed how no one was out and with the truck headlights it seemed to look very nice.
Good for RV stop
Nice little rv / camp site. This is mainly an RV park. Super clean, offers picnic tables, laundry, bathroom and showers. The bathrooms require a code. The site is located inside of Golden parks, which mean local police patrolled the property throughout the night. You cannot smoke in your site, only a small designated area. The staff does not answer the phone and has short hours. We made a reservation for the wrong day (same day) called couldn’t get anyone, finally was told you have to cancel 72 hours in advance for refund even though we booked the same day so we lost a night stay and had to rebook… seems understaffed

Great find!!
Walking distance to restaurants and stores in downtown Golden. Trails and the creek right by my campsite. We love it!! It’s a small campground without many amenities, but it’s right in the middle of everything!! Kudos to the City of Golden for bringing campers right into the heart of your city!
Awesome safe haven after the Loveland pass
Great site run by the city of Golden Colorado. Very convenient to town and bathrooms and set up top notch. Great staff.
Convenient
I love that this app has a lot of information and is super convenient perfect for on the go.
It's got everything 🙌
The dyrt coordinates have been wrong for me on a couple camp sites so double check the directions. There are only 3 tent sites and the rv sites seem to go fast. I would definitely call ahead. They have bathrooms, showers, wifi, laundry and water! They are all in the hosts building next to the 3 tent sites. Our tent site was around $34. No pets are allowed for tent camping here 😢. They have tons of rv sites with the full hookups. The creek runs along the back of the campground with a trail. Bring a tube for the creek. Make sure it's big enough where your butt isn't touching the water while in the tube. If so, you will get beat up by the rocks so be careful. We bought some lounge tubes that were too low to the water and we got beat up pretty good. We used our air mattresses instead and they worked great! They have tube rentals close buy and you can buy one at golden market downtown as well but they are a little pricey. There's a $2 fill fee when you purchase one through the golden market. We were thinking of kayaking but the creek was too shallow on our visit. It's more of a lazy river 😴 awesome town to check out, beautiful views and nice people!
Small but nice
Small RV park along Clear Creek in Golden, CO. are immaculate. Very convenient to historic Golden and tubing on Clear Creek was the highlight.
Beautiful Pl., I’m having a review for this
Great bike trail to town and Hot Springs
Beautiful creek side campground
Had a great spot right next to the Clear Creek walking path. The campground is clean and well looked after. Clean bathrooms and showers. Close to many hikes and mt trails. Also close walking distance to downtown Golden and all it has to offer. A large park next door with any desired recreational sport accommodation. And lots of fly fishing in Clear Creek

Clean and convienent
Perfect for visiting the iconic Golden, Colorado!
App shows wrong location
This rv park is right by my house it is in a great spot, this app misplaces it by several miles.
Great campground!
Nice clean campground! Beautiful setting with lots to do nearby. We’ll definitely be back!
Great location!
This small, but clean, campground is located perfectly a walk, or bike ride, away from the town of Golden. Not too far from hwy 70 it a great overnight stop or a destination. The staff was great! The bike bath and creek are nice. Bathrooms were clean. I would stay here again.
Fishing, Tubing, Paths & Parks
There is so much to do at this location; aside from the sectioned off RV area, there are lots of paths and locals parks to adventure around. Tubing & swimming in the creek is wonderful especially in summertime. Our favorite is the fishing, so much fun fishing in all the different spots along the creek. Always a fun time for our family here!

Ranger Review Primus Fieldchef Pocket Knife at Clear Creek RV Park
**Campground Review: **
Golden, CO is a super cute town on the outskirts of Denver. The city has a campground in a prime location, and we were lucky to book a site! They have creek front sites that are full hookup and cheaper electric only sites. We opted for one of the electric only sites and are glad we did (UPDATE - we went back a few weeks later and stayed at a creek site. It was totally worth it!!! The extra money was worth being able to look at the creek from inside the RV)!! The creek sites are super great, but there is a bike/walk path between the site and the creek that gets A LOT of foot traffic! It’s not cheap to stay here, but the location makes it worth it. We were able to bike or walk everywhere we went, and it was awesome! My husband even rode mountain biking trails right from our site. The campground itself isn’t anything great– it’s the location you are after! We walked by the creek and watched the kayakers enjoying their day. Also, on Saturdays in the summer there is a farmer’s market really close to the campground. We walked down for lunch and were not disappointed! Golden is a great town and Clear Creek is the perfect location to explore it. Warning– they have a pretty intense cancellation policy. If you book a site, be sure you have triple checked your dates!!
**Primus Fieldchef Pocket Knife: **
As a ranger for the Dyrt, I occasionally get to try new products. I was super excited to try the Primus Fieldchef Pocket Knife. It is such a pain trying to 1) remember to pack a knife when we camp and 2) pack it in a way that won’t puncture our bag/cooler. This knife is great!! We tested it out at Clear Creek RV Park and are super excited to be able to take it with us when we have picnics or backcountry/kayak camp. It’s small so it packs easy but is super sharp and the only knife we will need with us when camping. In fact, we have already used it for a picnic since our stay at Clear Creek and it was again awesome!! It folds up really small and comes with a sleeve for it too. See the picture for size reference, it was smaller than anticipated but since we will be using it when we are on the go it’s perfect!!! The performance was still awesome despite the smaller than anticipated size!!! We love this knife!
