RV size parking in winter
I wanted a place to stay on the way to Vail. Rolled in at night in my truck, easy to access. I was the only one camping during late December. Also did a snow hike up the road. A few snow mobiles come up this road, not much other traffic
Beautiful spot(s)
Little drive back through someone's land. There's some cool caves/arches you pass heading up. The first spot is beautiful. There's another really nice one farther up but it was taken. There's a bathroom as you turn the big corner up the hill... I'm guessing there's a lot of locals that know this place as they were FLYING up and down all night. We didn't go to the top but there definitely seemed to be a scene up there based on the traffic! We snagged a spot by the creek, It rained all night and the creek was milky and flowing hard by the morning. Beautiful rock formations along the way.

Beautiful dispersed
If you're looking for some privacy, this is the place, no reservable. It is a first come, first served. No need to pay, which means the campground may not be the cleanest, but is is still very good spots next to the creek, which make the nights very amazing with the sound of the water.

BLM land off exit 133 I-70
We stayed in site 4 off coffeepot road / deep creek rd (Deep Creek Campground) Site 4 is large enough for a 40ft 5th wheel and is a great place to turn around. We did not go further up as we were staying just one night. No cell service at all. Nothing for verizon, t-mobile, or at&t. Starlink pulled down 180 mbs and 15 up. very quiet, no traffic. No services at all must be self contained. River was 20 yards from us. BLM was easy to get in touch with and provided numerous details about the area and road conditions. Dirt road pull out
There aren't a ton of spots, we counted about 5 before coming up on the location marked and went up about another mile. Very narrow, exposed road. I would not recommend a trailer or larger RV. The pullouts are tight, if you have dogs or kids I'd go farther up to avoid the traffic.
Great views and accessible
I went maybe 4-5 miles up past the parking lot. Road was well maintained and totally doable in my 2wd hatchback. Could've easily gone further but it was getting dark and I came across a good enough spot. A bit exposed but A+ views. 39°40'05.1"N 107°06'41.7"W
Simply lovely
We got there after dark and headed into the dispersed camping. Even though the actual campground was full, we found a spot less than a quarter mile away and there were plenty more. The views in the morning were breathtaking. Bathrooms were clean.

Exploration and Breath Taking
This spot was a success, there are many spots along the creek to camp and at the main area with the porta potties there are more camping spots if you follow the creek which are close. There were many established fire pits as well. We camped right by the creek and it was peaceful to sleep next to the white noise of it. No issue setting up a tent but make sure to bring layers for night time if you go early May.
Make sure to try out the drive up the mountain, it was breathtaking and kept going up. Make sure your vehicle can handle it, not too bumpy but it was all dirt and gravel with no side railing. We went up with an SUV all wheel and had no issue. The view along the drive is really worth seeing, I couldn't believe it. We passed a herd of goats and the dogs that were in charge of them, and a cowboy on a horse!!! At the top, you can walk out for a stunning and surreal view.

Great spot for a quick van night
Traveling through Glenwood and needed a quick overnight. Drove through the normal camping around the river as it was mostly filled and instead were rewarded with beautiful views from higher elevation spots possibly 3-4 miles pst the FS information spot.
Beautiful Spot!
We pulled in with our 31’ trailer and had a great spot to park at campsite 3. Can walk right down to the river where you could set up your tent or have a fire (when they’re permitted!). It looked like there were some really great camping spots that were already full. We would definitely stay here again.
Absolutely beautiful
Free & beautiful. The snowmelt river provides water for showers and swimming if you’re brave enough. We stayed here for 10 days and had an absolutely amazing time. Is close enough to Glenwood springs to do shopping and hit up dispensaries. We duckied from no name to Glenwood. Amazing.
