Bureau of Land Management's Bennett Creek Campground sits where the North Platte River cuts through Wyoming's sagebrush country, requiring drivers to follow the road to its end for access. The campground provides fire rings with cooking grates, picnic tables at each site, and a hand-crank well pump for water. A single vault toilet serves the area, and a boat ramp accommodates rafters and float trips heading downstream.
Campers report good road conditions despite the remote location, with cattle, horses, and pronghorn visible in the surrounding ranch country. The BLM Corral Creek Recreation Site lies upstream within half a mile. Sites remained available during busy holiday weekends, and visitors note significant temperature drops between warm days and cool nights.
