Hines Park & Campground

The City of Park Falls manages this nine-site municipal campground along the Flambeau River, operating from May through September. Hines Park & Campground provides full hookups with 20/30/50 amp electrical service, water, and sewer connections at each site for $35 per night. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis without reservations.

Sites overlook the Flambeau River and connect to a walking trail that follows the water. The park includes a public fishing pier, playground, basketball courts, and a shelter. Restrooms are available, though the campground does not offer shower facilities. "A very clean park and underutilized," notes Jeff S., who stayed six nights and found himself the only camper for four of those nights.

The location provides easy access to downtown Park Falls while maintaining distance from traffic noise. Campers report the park stays relatively quiet even with full occupancy. The sites lack significant tree cover, offering open views of the river but limited shade during peak sun hours.

For those preferring a more wooded setting, Smith Lake County Park sits a few miles southwest with additional tree coverage and lake access.
