Hines Park & Campground

The City of Park Falls manages this nine-site municipal campground along the Flambeau River, operating from May through September. Hines Park & Campground provides full hookups with 20/30/50 amp electrical service, water, and sewer connections at each site for $35 per night. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis without reservations.

Sites overlook the Flambeau River and connect to a walking trail that follows the water. The park includes a public fishing pier, playground, basketball courts, and a shelter. Restrooms are available, though the campground does not offer shower facilities. "A very clean park and underutilized," notes Jeff S., who stayed six nights and found himself the only camper for four of those nights.

The location provides easy access to downtown Park Falls while maintaining distance from traffic noise. Campers report the park stays relatively quiet even with full occupancy. The sites lack significant tree cover, offering open views of the river but limited shade during peak sun hours.

For those preferring a more wooded setting, Smith Lake County Park sits a few miles southwest with additional tree coverage and lake access.

Nice clean, quiet, full hookup sites

We are just finishing up a six night stay at this nice little campground. All nine sites are full hookup and are just $35 a night. A very clean park and underutilized. We were the only campers for 4 of the six nights and just one other the other two nights. The sites overlook the Flambeau river and there is a nice walking trail alongside the river. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice little municipal park - quiet but near town

Nine campsites, all with 20/30/50 electrical, water, and sewer. Non-reservable, first-come-first-serve. No showers, but there are public restrooms. Very pleasant location on the Flambeau River and a short distance from downtown. Playground, walking trail, shelter, basketball courts, and other things for families. $25 per night.

A City Park with a View

Clean, small, but with all the amenities. This little campground is hosted and managed by the City of Park Falls. It’s well kept and there are even basketball courts. There is a great view of the Flambeau River and a small public pier for fishing. I would give it 5 stars if it was more wooded.
