Oakdale KOA

KOA Journey. We didn't feel like tackling Illinois at the end of the day, so we planned a stop here. 

Check in was pleasant. We were in the back by the bathroom, which was my request. Lots of shady trees. This is a well established campground. As others have noted there is Interstate noise. It's easy on- easy off though.

 There's a Loves nearby.

The park rangers are very kind and extremely helpful. This park is very well maintained with bathrooms and showers that were up kept as well as my own home. Very nice place

The campground is super easy to get to as it is adjacent to I-90 which means you’ll also deal with highway noise. The noise becomes just background after a while and the full hookups mean running the RV air conditioner at night somewhat blocks the traffic sounds. Lots to do in the area with the Wisconsin Dells less than 30 minutes away and Tomah is less than 10 minutes the other direction. The campground itself is small but very well taken care of with a mix of back-in and pull-through sites along with cabins. Staff was very friendly and helpful giving us suggestions for places to visit while we were there. Bonus: A convenience store/fuel station including truck diesel lanes is just outside the entrance to the campground for easy fill ups before you hit the road.

We stayed one night on our way through Wisconsin. The campground was very neat and tidy. The folks that ran it were very nice and friendly. We checked in after 7 and they sent us check in instructions (but they ended up being there to check us in anyway). They have a nice playground, pool and jump pad! Great experience.

Had a decent site, close to other sites, but the park was pretty empty. They were getting ready to close for the winter.

Bathrooms are clean and big. They were far from our site, but it wasn't bad.

There was dog feces near our picnic table and some cigaret butts.

Nothing fancy, but a good place to stay on our way to MN.

No change machine for the laundry, but when the store is open, you can purchase a $10 bag of quarters!

We stayed here in July, the park stayed pretty busy with the location so close to the highway, but didn't feel crowded at all. The highway noise isn't great, but I expected that coming in here. Great facilities here and very friendly staff.

Just off 91. My family got an easy pull through site. We upgraded with a patio site that included a nice round patio table with 4 padded chairs, a gas grill, and 2 Adirondack chairs. Very nice for a quick night’s stay when you don’t want to take everything out. It was more comfortable than a picnic table.

There was a small store with snacks, tshirts, novelty ice cream, and caning items of both necessity and novelty. Who doesn’t need another s’mores sign?

There’s also a playground, pool, bounce pad, and game room, which has low and no cost games. It’s not high tech where you’ll spend more than it cost to stay the night. (Pool table used quarters. Ping pong table was free).

The sites were close together but there were trees and grass which made it feel more roomy.

The people who work there were very kind and welcoming.

We stayed here overnight as we were traveling through and it rained most of our stay. The owners were super nice and checking in was quick. The spots are semi close to each other, but the people by us were quiet. They have some cute goats to see. We would stay here again.

The campground was clean and well maintained, the staff was friendly, the bathrooms were very clean, and lots of activities for the kids to do.

We would definitely stay here again.
