Middle Ridge Campground

Hosts are great.  Bathhouse was very clean.  Fall folliage was perfect.  The campgound is really 1.6 mi from rte 50 but feels longer the first time due to narrow roads and hills.  For being on the side of a mountain, the sites were suprisining level.  Only needed a few blocks under the wheels.  We chose one of the pull throughs.

Don't forget to plug in well pump or you won't have water!

Just got home from a lovely week in Romney.  We found the perfect campground, a mile or so off route 50, deep in the woods.  Each campsite surrounded by trees.  Since we have a popup, Shelly recommended a site not far from the bathhouse.  Perfect.  We were in Romney to ride the Potomac Eagle, but Shelly also recommended other experiences in Romney (Fort Mill Ridge, Indian Mound Cemetery, historic David House).  A very nice autumn week.

This was our first experience camping.  We just retired and rented a camper for a trial run and we just loved it.  It was quiet there and I slept like a baby.  Very positive experience.

This is a good place to stay in an area along Hwy 50 where there aren’t many other options. The host was friendly and helpful. The campground is clean and safe. The bathrooms are fine with a good shower and hot water. There is a swimming pool although it was closed for the season when I was here.

If you’re looking for quiet and privacy, this is the place.  they laid out the sites so that you’re not side by side. They are all on an angle which moves you further away from anyone on both sides.  The angled site also was great for driving just past you’re site and practically backing straight back into you’re site.  Decent bath house and friendly, low key staff.  Great rates per night.

The owners are so friendly and personable. The sites are actually in a wooded area not just a big field. Each site has full hookups. We will definitely return.

This was the perfect little site. Super friendly and accommodating, beautiful walking paths, great campsites. We really enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay.   Quiet camping on top of a mountain.   Beautiful wooded views.  Hosts were amazing and plenty of space between campers.  All the spots are shaded.

We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Seeing the equine daily was a huge plus; they were super sweet and funny. The owners were so helpful and friendly.

It was very quiet and peaceful, pool was relaxing and great, owner stopped by to see if we needed anything that’s a rare thing now a days, definitely will be back, plenty of shade on every lot!

Middle Ridge Campground is a charming family owned campground without the major frills, but has full hookups, very wooded, and has a ton of walking paths to enjoy. Did I mention there are Donkeys?? They are so cute! The campground also has a pool that looks really nice but the weather was a bit chilly for Memorial Day weekend. This campground is secluded, wooded, and not over crowded and the owners are very friendly. We are booking another stay next month!

We enjoyed our stay at Middle Ridge Campground. The owners we're amazing family people who were so polite and helpful! They provided daily checks so see if we needed anything such as firewood, which they brought directly to our campground. We have three children who absolutely loved petting and feeding Mules and Donkeys! The pool is a nice amenity unfortunately the weather wasn't swimming weather when we were there. Short drive down the mountain to get to the ponds but my husband and oldest son had a blast catching fish in their ponds! Large campsites with good spacing between guests, which makes your site feel private. I called before booking and talked to the owner which helped us pick out the perfect spot! If ever in the area we would come back and camp again!

I came back for the second time in as many months. The owner reached out on the day I was arriving to let me know she was heading out for the weekend and ask if I needed any firework delivered before she left.

Campground was quiet just like last time. Really only saw one other person the entire weekend.

We just got back from a few days at Middle ridge campground and it is now one of my favorite campgrounds. The owners are attentive, stopping by each day to check on us and see if we needed anything. The pool is well maintained, as are the restrooms. We were at site 14 which is right across from the pool. The site was a great size and well laid out. 

I camp a few times a month, different places each time, and this is one of a few that I will return to.

The campground offers full hook ups, a nice clean pool & facilities. Spacious campsites & the owners are super sweet. Will camp there again!

Great campground, roads are a little rough but it is a a very beautiful area and so peaceful.

We have spent a lot of time at Middle Ridge and loved it.  Peaceful and accommodating. Wonderful walk to the pond and the property around is beautiful.   The owners are very helpful since we began our camping experience with them.  Highly recommend this campground.

We have travelled many times to WV and usually include the Middle Ridge Campground for a few nights or more. It is not near a main highway unless you call Route 50 through Romney a main highway. It is west of town up a curved mountain road. It is on the top area of "Middle Ridge" mountain. 

The views are fantastic as you drive into the campground. once you check in at the office,  the owners will direct you to your campsite. I have seen most types of rigs, from to tents to 5th wheel and numerous Class A, B and C campers. The place is laid back, quiet and somewhat remote. The greatest place to "get away from it all". 

For activities, in summer, a lovely well maintained pool, picnic areas, hiking and biking. Even when they are full, you don't feel crowded. The owners, Shelly and Terry are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.

My time here at Middle Ridge has been so great. It’s peaceful and has lots of hiking trails! They are a dog friendly campground and the owners are so kind. Thank you for providing a safe, quiet space to camp. ❤️🥰

An awesome go to campground for the family. We've been going for years. Everyone loves it - there is something for everyone from hiking, swimming, outdoor games,  fishing, watching the donkeys or just enjoying the fire pit in the evenings. The views are spectacular! PS They have sites for your trailer, tent and even a cabin to rent. The bathhouse is clean too (a big plus)...

It was a quick stop over on way home , very nice owner , had full hookups very peaceful highly recommend!

I camp in my tent so i chose a smaller, secluded site close to the restrooms.  The restrooms were very clean and easily accessible.  I went during the week and the campground was very quiet. The owner was very nice.
