To reach Thorp Lake camping area, drive to the end of Forest Service Road 4312 where you'll find parking at the Thorp Lake trailhead. From there, follow the trail uphill for approximately 1.5 miles to reach the lake and camping area. While there is a designated trailhead, be aware that this path can be somewhat overgrown. Many visitors prefer to park where the road ends and take the more established route up to the lake.
