Lynden/Bellingham KOA

The Lynden/Bellingham KOA sits on 20 acres within the city limits of Lynden, Washington, operating year-round as part of the KOA network. This established campground accommodates RVs up to 54 feet with full hookups and offers tent sites alongside cabins and recreational amenities. The property centers around several ponds that attract ducks, eagles, and owls according to regular visitors.

Campers describe a family-oriented atmosphere with high activity levels during peak seasons. The campground includes a swimming pool, mini golf course, arcade, and playground area concentrated near tent sites. Scott H. notes the property feels "completely SAFE" with children biking throughout the grounds. However, noise levels vary significantly by location and season, with some reviewers reporting electric scooters and foot traffic through campsites during busy periods.

The facility provides standard KOA amenities including restrooms, showers, laundry, and WiFi throughout the property. A coffee shop operates on-site, and the campground hosts organized events for guests. Tent sites in the back sections tend to be dusty with minimal grass coverage, while grassy sites around the pond fill quickly according to multiple reviews. Trees provide shade in established areas of the campground.

Access involves navigating residential streets, and some reviewers mention rough road conditions depending on weather. The campground accepts reservations and allows pets throughout the property. Renee R. describes the location as "tucked away" despite being within city limits, with downtown Lynden accessible by bike or on foot.

For a different camping experience, Berthusen City Park provides a more traditional park setting just west of town.

Amazing! Clean and the grounds are perfect.

This is a local campground to me, but I have visited a few other KOA's in the State and this one is on another level. Very engaged campground and completely SAFE! I rarely would let my kids out of my site but at this campground I let them cruise around on their bikes and they go all over the place. The pool is clean and well kept. I will be returning to this campground for years to come.

Love the Lynden KOA, it’s beautiful & relaxing.

The coffee shop makes the best coffee, and the staff are super friendly and helpful.  Updated sites and beautiful ponds with lots of ducks & baby ducks , eagles, owls.  This campground is well maintained and clean , and they host fun events.  Not far from downtown Lynden where there’s a variety of eating choices and fun stores.

Loud and dirty

So loud. Kids on electric scooters, bikes, running through our site. Dogs barking kept us up late and woke us before dawn. Two bathrooms, one was filthy. Broken paddle boats on a dirty pond. In the middle of a residential neighborhood. Would not return.

Wonderful nearby campground

We were dying to go on a quick camping trip. Lynden KOA was the perfect nearby campground. Tent sites in the back are rather dusty (no grass)… but then again we’re camping so who cares. Grassy sites are around the pond and book up quickly. Great Amenities…. Swimming pool, mini golf, arcade games, paddle boats. Lots of trees and shade!. I love how it’s tucked away and you forget your right in Lynden. Close enough to town for a bike ride or a run. Pet friendly

Good for kids

Great site for kids because of amenities. I went once in a tent and one on a cabin. Definitely more worth the cabin. I found the tent sites extremely dusty like more than normal. The cabins were good though. Luxury of having power and a bed. Definitely not a nature getaway. The pool and amenities are great though.

Nice place, great staff

We live just a few miles away so this place is a nice quick getaway. Staff is always nice, and the campground is safe. Depending on where they put you, the spots are pretty close if you’re next to someone with a tip out. Great place for kids. Youngsters love the playground, older ones like the arcade.

Tight knit community Kamping

It was the only place in the area we could find last minute. Never been to a KOA before, but they are definitely for a particular type of camper. This place was LOUD during the day with kids running around and walking through our small tent campsite. All the tent sites were right by the playground. Cabins were offered, RV sites and hookups, lots of amenities for kids. Not my thing but the staff was friendly upon check in.

Loved it!

Really loved our stay here! We were wanting to visit some family, and thought we would do some camping while here as well as some hiking. This part of Washington is beautiful. We have been a few times, but never hiked or camped. The weather was perfect for us, so much sunshine and warm weather! The campground was great, clean, and quiet. There actually weren't very many people, which was surprising because it was summer! Mid July we thought it would be packed, but it wasn't. The restrooms were clean, but definitely bring toilet paper because by the second night they were out. It must have rained the day before we got there because the campground was a little wet and muddy. We were able to do our tent, though and it almost made it easier to get the stakes into the ground because it was soft. We went hiking twice, and loved every second of it. As you can see from my pictures, flowers were in full bloom and were absolutely gorgeous. I couldn't stop taking pictures of flowers! There were these super pretty purple ones that were everywhere. This make the hike even that much more better. We will definitely be back- although we like to explore different campgrounds so we might not be back to this campground (not because it was bad, but because we want to experience others ones!).
