Lower Pleasant Creek Campground

Within Dixie National Forest, Lower Pleasant Creek Campground provides a small-scale camping experience alongside Highway 12. This Forest Service facility operates from May through September, accommodating both tents and RVs across its limited number of sites.

The campground sits beside Pleasant Creek, with the sound of flowing water reaching several sites. Pine trees provide natural shade throughout the developed area. Sites include picnic tables, fire rings with grates, and barbecue grills, while vault toilets and potable water serve the campground. Robert W. notes the facilities are "very clean" and describes "a rushing stream" that surrounds the pine-covered sites.

The upper portion of the campground handles tents and smaller RVs, while lower sites accommodate tents only. Larger RVs can fit, with one camper successfully placing a 28-foot trailer. The campground charges $12 per night and operates without electrical hookups. Highway 12 runs close to the camping area, though traffic noise receives minimal mention in visitor feedback.

Campers can access fishing opportunities in the creek and nearby lake. The facility includes a dump station, camp store, and allows alcohol. Cell service reaches the area. For those exploring the region, camping near Dixie National Forest offers additional options across this expansive forest system.

Campers regularly cited the clean facilities, well-maintained sites, and scenic pine forest setting with creek access at a great value. Located right off Highway 12 for easy access, though road proximity is noticeable.

Great Site!

Campsite was exactly what we needed for a great price. We came in late without a reservation and were able to get a spot. We were by the creek so we were able to listen to it which was awesome. Nice and clean!

Nice little campground

Great little campground right off 12. Only a few site here for tents and rvs. No electricity but does have water and pot toilets (very clean). This place is surrounded with pine trees and a rushing stream. Very well maintained and only 12$ a night. Was a nice break from my dusty Utah desert camping. Picnic table, fire ring with grate, as well as a bbq grill all provided.

Nice, clean campground with good water and clean vaults. The upper sites are for tents and small campers while the lower half will accomodate tents only.
