Within Dixie National Forest, Dean Gardner Campground provides drive-in access to forested sites positioned directly next to Pine Valley Reservoir. The US Forest Service manages this established campground from mid-May through September, offering standard amenities including restrooms, picnic tables, and fire rings with firewood available for purchase.
The campground loop sits adjacent to the reservoir with a walking path connecting sites through well-maintained grounds lined with mature trees. Big rigs can access the area, and the facility includes ADA-accessible features. Campers can make reservations and bring both pets and alcohol. The location works well for visitors wanting reservoir access combined with forest camping, though with limited review data available, specific details about site spacing, noise levels, and crowd patterns remain unclear.
