Shingle Creek Rest Area

I absolutely loved this little rest area. The gentleman who is the host here takes really good care of the place. He has a sweet black and white cattle dog (?) who follows him around. There are clean bathrooms with heating, a well-maintained rest area, picnic tables, and fresh lawn. I stayed overnight here for a couple of nights while visiting Zion NP and Bryce Canyon NP. It was safe, quiet, and peaceful. A few tall pines provide shade, and my dog and cat and I really enjoyed lounging on the lawn for a bit. There's a couple of trash cans and a dumpster. It's completely free and really appreciated when you need a place to park for the night or use a clean toilet. It's also close to the Sinclair gas station that has a little store with snacks and a clean bathroom, as well as a nice café with good food and coffee.
