Wind conditions can shift quickly at North Beaches Campground, located on the shoreline of Yuba Lake within Yuba State Park. The campground provides full hookups for RVs along with drinking water, showers, and a dump station. Campers can access sites by driving, walking, or boating directly to the lake's edge.
The sandy terrain near the water attracts insects during certain seasons, though some visitors report manageable bug levels when camping on harder ground away from loose sand areas. Fishing, swimming, and trail access for hiking and biking draw visitors to this lakeside location. For a different setting, Painted Rocks - Yuba State Park sits just west of the main camping area.
Description
Camping, beaches, and warm waters lure visitors to Yuba Reservoir. Developed and primitive camping is available at Oasis and Painted Rocks campgrounds and at designated beach areas. Anglers may fish for northern pike, tiger muskie, walleye, yellow perch, wiper, trout and catfish year-round.
Please remember all fees apply, even if the entrance station isn’t staffed. Please use the self-pay envelope system at each entrance station upon arrival. We will only permit one vehicle per reservation.
Please remember to use the envelope self pay system upon arrival if campsites are not reserved.
Camping reservations for the North and West Beaches will now be combined to be called “North Beaches”. When making a reservation in the future for the “North Beaches” area, upon arrival you will be allowed to chose your camping area based upon space available.
