About two miles from the town of Leeds, this dispersed site sits along a forest road within Dixie National Forest. The campground features a designated pull-through loop that separates campers from the main road traffic, with an additional tent area tucked further back for extra privacy.
Site #5 receives regular use from both weekend campers and ATV riders traveling the forest road system. Reviewers note decent cell coverage at this location, though service becomes spotty further up the canyon. The red rock formations surrounding the forested area provide a distinctive Southern Utah backdrop. Large RVs can access this site, though the road becomes more challenging beyond site #6. Description
Many people enjoy the solitude and primitive experience of camping away from developed campgrounds and other campers. Dispersed camping is the term used for camping anywhere in the National Forest OUTSIDE of a developed campground. Dispersed camping is free, therefore no services or facilities are provided; such as trash removal, tables, and fire pits. In some popular dispersed camping areas, camping is limited to designated sites only, such as the ones listed below.
