BLM Dispersed N Kolob Terrace Road

Close to the road and with many other campers and tents. Not bad though for a free night close to Zion NP.

site is fairly easy to get to, we did a small river cross in our AWD car since there seemed to be more available spots. overall the campsite is nice with soft sand to sleep on and a small river to walk in and explore. this was one of the rare dispersed sites with tree shade which helped with intense summer heat. we came in early june and unfortunately didn’t know that it’s biting fly mating season and we were getting bitten CONSTANTLY and bug spray does little to deter them. it was so bad we decided to spend our second night in hurricane cliff’s because of it. additionally, 3 of the campsites we checked out had fire ant hills.

Decent location if you get a spot on the river. They include shade from trees and firepits at most spots near the river. A little bit of a strange experience with broken glass at our site, a dog biting a child which resulted in adults screaming at each other for a while and it smelled like someone was burning feces a couples times while we were there (3 nights). Aside from that, decent distance to the park and enjoyed our river spot. Not many private places to poo since it’s so close to the road with little vegetation

Sandy campsites and lots of space. Right off the main road which is always a plus

Very safe. Got there around 7 pm, found a spot easily. There were maybe 5 other campers there. Set up a tent next to the river. Quiet except for the flowing river.

We arrived in the dark so it was a little difficult to find since it’s not marked. A few other campers were on site. Quiet, safe and close to Zion National Park. We spent two nights there. Plenty of spaces available each time. I will come again when in the area.

Sandy and shady free Campground near Zion Natl Park. Easy access even with a car for the most spots. Crossing the creek there are more spots but not recommended without high clearance and 4x4. Beautiful sunset and shady in the morning. No highway noise. No fires permitted. Max stay 14 days. Love this place and the murmurs of the creek. Fills up very quickly around 6pm in the summer.
