BLM 144 Dispersed

The highway is nearby but I don’t hear it nor do I see any lights because a hill is blocking the highway

I got stuck, luckily got myself out. It was about 930p and I didn't notice just how muddy it was until I was sliding. Good spot if dry. There were a couple other campers there.

Very short drive from highway, a bit uneven for terrain but most vehicles should have no problem. Quite a few places to stay at, most of which are quite flat. 2 other people were there when I arrived. Some noise from highway but not much

A convenient spot with lots of options. It was easy to navigate and the terrain is pretty friendly (even for a street motorcycle). It's close to the highway for quick overnighter and close enough to Moab if your headed that way in the morning. I went right and followed the path behind the hill. I was hidden from the road, great views and the location was perfect

Perfect! Got in around 10pm and didn’t pass 1 car, nor did any cars pass me! Felt like I was the only one there. Could see/hear the biggest but it honestly was a nice white noise to fall asleep. Early sunrise wake up to head to Moab but would stay again!!!

Just needed a quick spot to spend the night. Plenty of spots even arriving after 8pm. Could see a bunch of others but far enough that I couldn't hear them.

Traveled to Moab and needed a quick and easy stay for one night. Arrived around 9pm in the dark and was happy to see LOTS of empty flat space to camp for the night. I rated this a 4 out of 5 due to close proximity to the highway and headlight pollution but for ease of connivence this would be a 5/5. Highly recommend this spot if you need something quick & easy off the highway on the way to Moab

Good spots not to busy,lots of spaces and quite accept for the highway noise. Not far from arches or canyon lands either. Easy road to get to and great signal with Verizon!

We arrived late at night and were a little nervous—no troubles though! Well maintained dirt road, ample pull-offs for camping, nicely spread out, very quiet. Passed about 8 other campers before settling at the end of the road.

Nice view and it was quiet.

I’d stay here again. Wide open with decent view. Just be ready for some wind

This is an easy pull off from the road. Where I am staying, I can see and hear the road but it's not too bad. You can go back further I'm sure to have it be more private. There are 2 other people here with lots of space in between us all. I'm using this as a stopping point before I head to Zion tomorrow so this has been perfect!! Lots of areas where people had fires too

Nice open space to camp, had 2 other campers near me on a Wednesday night. Just parked overnight on a road trip. Was easy to get to with my 32 foot trailer.

If you love space and nobody in your face, a place for your dogs to run freely, but this is not your final “destination”… this is your spot!

I spent about a week here. Road in is primitive with slight washboards. Plenty of spots to choose from. It’s about 22 miles from Arches National Park and 25 from Moab but about 7 miles to Interstate 70. I was able to visit Arches and Cannonlands from here which was great. There is a train that runs twice a day, cows grazing every now and then and you can hear the traffic on the highway. Great cell service (I have Verizon).

Right off the highway, could hear the traffic but not bad, lots of room for a bunch of rigs but not super crazy views. Nice spot for a light night area to sleep.

This is just an open barren spot next to an old corral in an overgrazed weedy range desert. You can still see and hear the interstate truck traffic. I cannot imagine anyone picking this spot to camp and loading it into DYRT database. Cell signal is great though.

Beautiful, cheap camping for low maintenance travelers looking to hit parks the next morning. Road was fine for my 2WD Mini Cooper, just take it slow and you'll find a spot

Going in as described the road was quiet other than the cows If you enter off 191 the other end there are more established sites But it’s a perfect quick off the highway stop less than an hour down to the Arches NP or Moab

Got into Moab later than expected on a Friday night around spring break time, so there were no campsites available at the BLM sites along the Colorado river.  After looking around for an hour, we looped back up around the 128 to I-70 and got off at Thompson springs and got on BLM 144 which was a dirt road heading southwest.  We settled camp around 9pm.  In the morning we were able to pack camp and drive to highway 191 and go south into Moab and get a campsite first thing in the morning.

This is dispersed camping/boondocking, so no services or facilities whatsoever.  

Despite the setbacks, the sunrise in the morning was beautiful
