Super accessible and clean camps. As a solo traveler I felt very safe

What a red Rocky place to ride into loved how beautiful it was and the stars were so bright! Only thing highly recommend a mini suv or larger the road is already so run down I feel over time that will only get worse

Campground was great, the only reason I deducted a star is because the road in is a bit rough definitely would not recommend a sedan to go through unless you’re real careful, I did fairly well in a Honda crv for reference.

The road in is bumpy and rocky, AWD or high clearance etc would be advised.

Very nice area can be hot in the summer. There were minimal bugs when I stayed. My girlfriend and I woke up to a pack of coyotes howling in the distance at night so use caution if you are tent camping.

Did not see any other campers out on 4th of July(When we stayed) but seems like a frequented off roading trail.

No camping for the first 2 miles but you will see signs where camping is allowed.

This was not very easy to access with my little van, but if you take it slow and stear carefully you should be able to make it back. One thing to mention is that you are required to have some kind of "toilet" with you. Digging a hole for doing your business is not an option, this is a sensitive and protected area and the designated sites are posted. Sites are designated and the spot I chose did post that a toilet system was required. Pack in pack out of course. I didn't see much trash laying around but did see signs of people having left toilet paper so, that's kinda gross, but I've definitely seen worse. Saw a few folks ride through on 4 wheelers, which is allowed on the designated trails. High clearance vehicle would have a much easier time getting back here, but like I said, I made it in my small van with low 5" clearance. Go slow!

2 mile drive on bumpy road that is also used by ATV and UTV, but very doable with our 1/2 ton pickup with slide-in camper. Mild ATV traffic, nothing bothersome.

This was the most magical campsite I have ever stayed at. The stars were absolutely beautiful. The road up was very bumpy but doable in my little sedan. However if I had more than just me there I’d want a higher clearance vehicle. There was no one at the sites so I had the whole area to myself.

Our second night on this road we stayed at this exact site. The way in was much easier than the previous site. The neighbors are louder, playing music and sounds travels, but no biggie. The stars and sunset were amazing.

It’s a bumpy, longer ride in but worth it. You have to go 2 miles back to reach the first campsite. If we would have had an actual 4x4 (or something not rented) we would have kept going further into the area. Lovely rocks. Animals. There was some off road noise but it wasn’t frequent or problematic. Not a lot of shade.

Was a looong way in on a bumby road. Because the sigh at the entrance says “no camping next 2 miles” you have to drive in ab 2miles on a dirt road. It was good weather when we visited but can imagine it being bad when raining. The campsite itself was quite uneven too, but would be perfect for a little smaller vehicle. We did howler not have any neighbours. We camped in a RV.

We had internet, AT&T 2 bars.

Perfect area with incredible views and solitude. Seems popular and fills up right before sunset! Most spots have a rock fire pit and some shade.
