Dallas/Arlington KOA Holiday

RV enthusiasts looking for a full-service base camp in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex will find Dallas/Arlington KOA Holiday equipped with electric, water, and sewer hookups for rigs up to 70 feet. The campground sits in an industrial area with adequate spacing between sites to avoid a cramped feel. Staff provide daily trash pickup service between 8 AM and 4 PM, a convenience that sets this location apart from many urban RV parks.

Multiple reviewers highlight the abundant shade from mature trees throughout the property, which proves valuable during Texas summers when temperatures exceed 100 degrees. Rob N. notes the facility includes "lots of sites with just enough room between to not feel cramped," while Cameron F. appreciated having "plenty of shade to help with the 100+ degree days." The campground maintains both deluxe sites and cabin rentals alongside standard RV spots.

Access requires attention to approach direction, as several campers mention needing to execute a U-turn depending on your route. Sybel P. warns of "an ugly Uturn to get to the entrance" based on arrival direction. The playground consists of a basic swing set, which may disappoint families expecting more extensive play equipment from a KOA Holiday designation. Shannon D. found the atmosphere "very safe and secure," noting the friendly staff throughout her extended stay.

Campers seeking different accommodations can explore Treetops RV Resort for a more resort-style experience nearby.

Campers regularly cited the shaded, clean sites and friendly staff as highlights. Several guests reported problems regarding higher-than-expected pricing. Most found it a solid urban camping option despite location challenges.

Not bad

Located in an industrial area. Lots of sites with just enough room between to not feel cramped. Nice staff. They pick up trash at your sites between 0800-1600 which is a definite plus. I subtracted one star due to the lackluster playground. This is a KOA “Holiday” but the playground had only a swingset. They need to add more for the kids.

Friendly service!

We came to stay for 2 days, but had to leave a day early and return home from our road trip due to landing gear issues (unable to disconnect). They refunded us for the night - wasn’t expecting it! We will be back to visit! Just make sure if you are hauling, you are coming in the right direction so you can avoid u-turning into the campground.

Not Ideal…We Left

UPDATE: we left a night earlier. There was no point in staying since we didn’t want to be outside. We will be reaching out to KOA to see if/what they can do about the experience.

This place is nice and up to the “standards” of KOA. I know KOAs are more expensive but this one felt too pricey. Our site was very well shaded but there was a lot of trash. Picnic tables are usually messy but the one we had was gross, not worth cleaning or using. Depending on the direction you’re coming there is an ugly Uturn to get to the entrance. The deluxe sites look super nice as do the cabins. I wouldn’t return but it’s a nice place and would recommend if you’re looking for a an RV park. This is the 2nd KOA, and the staff were nice but the “community feel” isn’t there, not like other places.

Tucked away nicely

Very nice place. Quiet and clean. After hours check in was very fast and easy. Lots of trees. Good place to stay in a big city.
