Grand Ole RV Resort & Market

Grand Ole RV Resort & Market accommodates RVs up to 65 feet with full hookups and operates year-round just off Interstate 65 in Goodlettsville. The family-owned resort features an on-site market and restaurant, plus nightly live country music that reflects the area's musical heritage. Staff members escort arriving campers to their sites via golf cart and assist with backing in larger rigs.

Sites consist of small gravel surfaces that drain well and provide level parking, though spaces sit close together with minimal clearance between neighbors. The center section offers open terrain with limited shade, while perimeter sites back up to more wooded areas. A freight train line runs directly behind the property, with trains passing hourly throughout the day and night. Most campers report the train noise as manageable, though light sleepers may find the 3 AM passages disruptive.

The resort's restaurant serves breakfast and dinner with rotating menus, while the market stocks basic RV supplies, snacks, and firewood. Clean restrooms require keycode access and feature air conditioning. Randi P. notes the facilities include "two toilet stalls and three showers for women, all very well maintained." WiFi coverage reaches throughout the property, and T-Mobile cellular service performs well for hotspot use.

The location provides quick access to Nashville attractions, sitting roughly 10 miles north of downtown. Campers can explore nearby options at Nashville North or find additional campgrounds around Goodlettsville for comparison. The resort allows pets and maintains propane filling services on-site. Reservations help secure preferred sites during busy periods.

Many campers appreciated the excellent location near Nashville and outstanding staff service with nightly live music. Common feedback included concerns about tight site spacing and frequent train noise, though clean facilities and helpful staff made up for these issues.

Peaceful, Well-Run RV Park with Great Location

We really enjoyed our stay at The Grand O RV Resort! The staff was super friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. A man even led us to our site in a golf cart and helped my fiancé back in and park our trailer, which was a huge help.

The campground had a small store with supplies, a restaurant with a menu available (though we cooked our own food), and live music each night while we were there during the summer — a nice touch! There’s a train that passes by on the nearby track a couple of times a day, but it was never super early or late and didn’t bother us at all.

We stayed in the center of the park, which didn’t have much shade, but the outer edge sites seemed more wooded. The roads and campsites are made of small pebbles, which made it easy to drive and back in. It was overall very quiet, and the location is great — just off the interstate, about 10 miles north of Nashville, and roughly 45 minutes from Bowling Green. We visited the National Corvette Museum and Lost River Cave while we were there.

Our site had full hookups (water, sewer, and electric). The bathhouse was clean, air-conditioned, and accessed with a key code — two toilet stalls and three showers for women, all very well maintained. We didn’t use the laundry facility (if there was one), but the Wi-Fi was decent, and T-Mobile cell service worked well, even for using our hotspot. It’s a pet-friendly park (though we didn’t bring pets), and while there’s no pool or playground, there were some nice wooden swings to enjoy.

They also have firewood for sale and a propane filling station on site. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend The Grand O to anyone looking for a quiet, clean, and well-located RV park near Nashville!

How every RV resort should be!

The atmosphere isn't much but everything is very well kept and in good working order. Felt very welcome from the moment I showed up being greeted at my truck, checked-in and lead to my site by golf cart. Everyone I met was super friendly and the entire experience is charming. I'm definitely going to stay there every time I stop in Nashville.

Great First Experience

I’m in Nashville frequently due to work. First time traveling with the camper, and chose this place after seeing it a few times. They were great. Clean report and nice people.

Nice but next to train tracks

This is a nice campground. Owners are kind operate a great general store. Live music every day and a nice rotating menu for breakfast and lunch. Clean laundry and bathrooms.

Only downfall are the trains that operate 24/7 directly adjacent to the grounds. Trains rolling by at 3 am is not how I like to spend my night. It’s not the campground’s fault by any means, but I will consider another option next time I’m in Nashville.

Great campground

The people who run this campground are super nice. Will try to answer any questions they can. The campground itself is clean and well kept. They have live music every night. I will use them again when visiting Nashville TN.

Nice campground, but very tight sites.

The Grand Ole RV Resort is a nice park to stay in near all the fun and sightseeing of Nashville, Tennessee. The campground is very tidy and well-kept. There are a lot of grassy areas for your dog and large shade trees to relax under. The office doubles as a restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner daily. They also sell snacks and basic RV supplies. The campground does not have a lot of amenities, but makes up for it with live nightly music! What a treat when you are visiting “Music City!” The sites are 30/50 amp FHU and pretty tight. We are literally parked less than 2 feet from our neighbor, so if you don’t like close quarters, this is probably not the right park for you. We enjoyed our stay here, though, and would stay here again when in the area. 👍🏻😊

Wish it had more for kids

The sites were very close to each other, but it was fairly quiet. It is close to a train track that has a train that runs about every hour. The music was great and the service was friendly. However, they show a playset on their map and it was two regular swings and a baby swing. This was disappointing since we had little ones.

GREAT Customer Service & A Super Fun Time!

I'm originally from Nashville and this was a wonderful place to spend the holidays so we could visit family and be in our own "home" still! We stayed for 2 weeks over Christmas/New Year's and shared a buddy site with my dad. I believe it was sites 38 & 39. We have a 40' motorhome and flat tow a Jeep and he has a 5th Wheel and had 2 vehicles there. We all still had plenty of space.

First, let me tell you what I LOVE about Grand Ole RV! The location is ideal. Right off the interstate and very easy to get to downtown as well as closer local restaurants & shopping. The staff is the BEST! Everyone was super friendly & very helpful. Unfortunately, our hot water & furnace unit had to be replaced during our stay, but it couldn't have happened at a better campground as the shower/bathroom area was very clean & nice. We had breakfast at the market a couple of times & it was delicious! The entertainment for NYE was seriously the most fun we've had out in a while. Nothing says Nashville like live country music! We will definitely be staying here again. **Tip, we drove up the road just a couple of minutes to Galbreath's Market (looks like an old gas station) and had the best filet cut on-site for us that we've ever had! Apparently, local country music stars will get their meat here often too.

What you may not love - but totally didn't bother us! This is right off the main road so there can be some traffic noise. Again, didn't bother us. There is also a very active railroad track that runs right along the back - which we actually loved. This isn't a campground that we would choose to stay at all day every day and play with the kids as they don't have a lot of amenities for that. The sites are mostly gravel, and while ours was level, it does get a bit of flooding when it rains. None of this, however, will stop us from being back. And we're pretty picky!

Bottom line, if you're visiting Nashville and want a fun time & excellent customer service in an excellent location, don't pass up Grand Ole RV!

“Customer service is not lost!”

I' m happy to say this is a family business who still understands the value of the customer experience. This is a great location(right off I-65) to explore all the Nashville area has to offer with convenience to downtown Nashville, the historic Franklin, TN community, and many other attractions...and if self exploring is not your thing the campground offers tour opportunities galore. The campground offers all the amenities you would expect in a commercial campground: very clean bathhouses, propane, convenience store, level spaces, full hook ups, wi-fi, escort to the site plus several things that weren't unexpected: restaurant dining, live free(good) entertainment nightly and some of the most pleasant staff we have encountered. The spaces are close together; however this seemed to be part of the character of the park...the pleasantries seemed to spread from the staff through the other RV'ers.

Perfect little spot

The downs: spaces are tight, location is in between a railroad and a highway, there is little shade & most spots are all gravel

BUT the people are amazing and make up for it in every way. Staff assists in parking and anything you need. We made great friends with our neighbors who were just as helpful and generous. Live music every night, breakfast and dinner available daily. Really is a great spot. Noise didn’t bother us at all from the trains, but we are from the city.

Bottom line, good value had a great time, would definitely stay again.
