Tri-State RV Park

Just off Interstate 84 at Exit 53, Tri-State RV Park sits at the end of a quiet road in Matamoras, providing easy highway access while backing up to the Delaware River. The gravel lot layout accommodates RVs up to 50 feet with full hookups, and most sites offer pull-through convenience for travelers making quick stops.

Highway noise carries across the property throughout the day and night, though many campers find it manageable with generators or earplugs running. The campground's location creates a practical overnight stopping point rather than a destination stay. BENdejo ~. notes it's "perfect for an overnight stop" while acknowledging "yes, right off the hwy and you can hear it."

The Delaware River runs directly behind the property, accessible on foot for fishing or simply watching the water flow by. An onsite buffet operates with occasional live entertainment, and the laundry facilities handle basic needs. Sites sit close together on the gravel surface without much privacy between units. Several seasonal sites house what appear to be local workers, creating a mix of long-term and transient campers.

Restrooms and shower facilities earn consistent praise for cleanliness and adequate supplies. The campground stays open year-round, accepting same-day reservations when space allows. Erin N. found "bathroom and showers were clean and well stocked" during her late arrival. A grocery store and Home Depot sit nearby for restocking supplies. The owners accommodate late check-ins and provide helpful service to travelers passing through the area.

For those exploring the broader region, places to camp around Matamoras offer additional options along the Delaware River corridor.

Friendly Owners and Reasonable rates

We just stayed the night last minute. We hit unexpected traffic on the way and the owners were kind enough to wait for us to check in. The sites aren’t anything glamorous but the hookups are great and easy to pull through. It is by the highway so it can be loud at times but I don’t mind. Beautiful river on the property. Bathroom and showers were clean and well stocked.

No frills layover spot

This place is unique by location alone! We stopped for two nights on our way to CT. They have an onsite buffet with live entertainment if your timing is right. They are also located right on a river that you can easily access by foot. They have a decent laundry facility and full hook ups. No frills at the site but perfect for the commuting RVers just looking for somewhere safe to sleep for the night.

Good for overnight stop

Located just off the highway so lots of vehicle noise 24/7. Sites are on a gravel lot. Restrooms are clean. Not much else to say about this CG, is just a parking lot with hookups. air amount of seasonal sites, I suspect are day workers.

Overnight Winter Quickie

Open during the winter. Easy on, easy off. Lots of pull through sites. Next to grocery store. CLEAN bathrooms, showers, laundry. Super nice owners. Perfect for an overnight stop. Yes, right off the hwy and you can hear it. At the end of a road, so I felt safe. Gem of a spot if you're just looking for a place to hook in & zone out for the night

Ext 53. Straight at the light. Drive all the way down to the end of the road.

Nice overnight without amenities.

We stayed here for 2 nights while traveling through. The campground is small and a bit rundown. The sites are on the smaller size. The gem is the beautiful grounds, river, and parklike setting. Lots of wildlife around. We had a FHU 30/50 amp.

Great for a night!

Right off the interstate. If you have the generator going and ear plugs it shouldn't bother you.

The couple who runs the park is super helpful and patient. You can tell they love what they do.

Great people!

It’s close to the highway, so there’s a lot of noise. But, the people are very friendly and helpful. It’s a wonderful place to stay when you’re going on a long trip and need a place to rest. Or if you’re in a pinch and need something year round.

Loud Parking Lot

While the staff is very friendly and polite you are basically in a old parking lot right below the freeway. Very easy to get on & off the highway but loud highway noise almost all night.

Way too close to the Interstate

While I did not have high expectations of the campground, I was very disappointed with how close it was to the interstate (you could actually feel the heavier trucks go by) and how close together the sites were. Worse, we were out on two sites even though I had requested a pull through 5 months prior.

Incredible staff

Friendly, aim to please staff. This is a point to point camp on the freeway. Easy on and off on I 84. Great place to pull in for the night if you are traveling. Safe, clean, and right on the Delaware River. Groceries and Home Depot close buy if you need to restock.

Convenient but not glamorous

Pros: easy to find, right off the highway, full hookups, open year round, big, same day reservations, friendly customer service

Cons: highway noise, not pretty / not in nature, close spots, no privacy
