With eight RV sites featuring electric and water hookups plus tent camping options right on the lake, Lake Sahoma operates as a city-managed campground in Sapulpa. Sites cost $6-$12 per night with reservations available, though the facility accepts cash only and limits tent stays to 14 days with a mandatory seven-day break between visits.
The campground splits between RV spots across the main road and tent sites directly lakeside. A main road runs through the park, creating consistent vehicle noise throughout the day and night. Most sites offer shade, and each includes a fire ring with lake views. Justin Y. notes it's "a cheap, simple place to relax and that's it." The on-site bait shop serves as the check-in point near the floating dock.
Lake Sahoma focuses primarily on fishing, requiring trout licenses for the main lake area though a section upstream allows regular fishing licenses. Swimming is prohibited, and submerged trees limit kayaking options. The lake attracts steady fishing traffic, with game wardens checking licenses regularly. Bathrooms, a general store, and dump station provide basic amenities, while campers must bring their own firewood or purchase from attendants.
Campers wanting more hiking opportunities might consider Crosstrails RV Park for additional recreational options.
