The remote location along Cranberry Lake creates a community atmosphere where seasonal campers often share fishing spots and local knowledge with newcomers. This privately managed campground operates both as a marina and camping destination, with boat rentals and kayak access directly from the property. Sites include full hookups for RVs, and the facility maintains WiFi connectivity despite its backcountry setting.
The on-site general store stocks camping supplies, fresh sandwiches, and fuel, while laundry facilities and propane service keep extended stays manageable. "Lots to do here between the lake and public beach/tennis courts within walking distance," notes Paul B.. Dark skies provide clear stargazing conditions, with several reviewers mentioning meteor shower viewing opportunities.
Site conditions vary across the property. Some wooden platforms show wear and require attention, while restroom facilities need minor maintenance updates. The campground allows pets but enforcement of leash policies appears inconsistent. Most sites remain quiet throughout the day, though dogs occasionally roam unleashed between campsites.
For those planning extended Adirondack trips, camping near Cranberry Lake offers additional options. Reservations are accepted, and the $25-$65 nightly rate reflects the range of site types and hookup configurations available.
