From the NYS Thruway, take Exit 26, following signs for Rte 5, Amsterdam and Scotia (after the toll booth). Go one mile to the first traffic light and take a left (west) on Rte. 5. Go 500 feet and turn left onto Van Buren Lane. Follow the signs. From the north, take Rte 50 (South) to the junction of Rte. 5 in Scotia. Turn right (West) onto Rte. 5. Go about three (3) miles. You will go under a railroad bridge and immediately come to a traffic light. Continue on Rte. 5 for 500 feet (past the traffic light) and turn left onto Van Buren Lane; follow the signs.

One of our favorites

This was one of our favorite campgrounds of our cross-country trip. Our site was back-in and had plenty of space. There's a lot of green space in this campground and it's right on the river. We were next to a little fenced in area for dogs that our dog loved.
