Andersen Hill State Forest

Drive-in dispersed camping at Andersen Hill State Forest provides a straightforward option for campers who prefer flexibility over developed amenities. The state forest allows campfires where previous users have established fire rings, though wet conditions may limit burning opportunities.

Road noise from Route 79 reaches some camping spots but remains at manageable levels according to recent visitors. The forest's location puts campers within reach of camping near Harford for those wanting additional options. This works well for campers comfortable with basic dispersed camping and minimal facilities.

Great spot!

Stayed one night. Spot was great! It had rained so we weren't able to have a fire, but there was a spot where others had one previously. A little road noise from Rt 79, but honestly wasn't terrible.
