Water enthusiasts and anglers will find direct lake access at Logan Park, one of several campground areas within Ute Lake State Park. This established campground accommodates RVs up to 50 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. The park operates year-round with sites accessible by car, boat, or on foot.
Large pull-through sites provide lake views from outer loops, while inner areas offer more shelter from New Mexico's persistent winds. A 2.4-mile nature trail begins at the campground and includes several lake viewing areas along the route. "Sites are spaced out and it is relatively quiet," notes Amy & Stu B.. The campground includes restrooms with showers, though these facilities close seasonally and pit toilets serve as backup.
Cell coverage runs strong with AT&T providing LTE service, while the park offers fee-based WiFi with limited free daily access. A playground provides shade for families. Mine Canyon Area and other camping areas within the park offer alternative locations around the reservoir.
The main dump station sits several miles away near the park office rather than at Logan Park itself. Sand burrs present a notable challenge for pets and gear throughout the area.
