Jemez Dispersed

Dozens of established primitive sites with fire rings cluster near the junction of Forest Roads 103 and 69 in the Santa Fe National Forest. The Cuba ranger district manages this widely dispersed area, where campers find both shaded and sunny spots throughout the terrain. Additional sites require exploration beyond the main junction area.

This fully primitive setup means no water, restrooms, or services on-site. Campers need to bring all supplies, including water, or collect it from nearby Rio De Las Vacas Campground or San Antonio Campground along Highway 126. Come prepared with everything needed for dispersed camping.

Absolute Hidden Gem

This area is in the Santa Fe National Forest and is managed by the Cuba, NM ranger district. It is widely disbursed with lots of shaded and sunny areas. It is fully primitive so come prepared. The nearest water would be at the Rio de Las Vacas or San Antonio campgrounds on hwy 126. We have camped here dozens of times and it never disappoints. There are 50 or more established sites with primitive fire rings near the junction of FR 103 and FR 69. A bit of exploration will uncover so many more great sites.
